PDP Xbox One Afterglow AG 6 Wired Gaming Headset, 048-103-NA-BK

At first my husband and I believed that there were no headsets made for the xbox one that did not need the adapter for the usb port due to a quick amazon search and coming up empty handed. I stumbled across these and found that they claimed to be xbox one compatible and did not require the $40 adapter to work properly. Husband received them today and hasn't stopped playing his game since, so I would say they work very well and are great for the price :)

Double wired so can only go on and off Forward facing. Not very flexible, band does start to crack in a few spots after a couple months of daily use. Mic is clear and audible, very loud and blocks out surrounding noise. Volume control is very easy to accidentally change due to it being a spin wheel. Does the job but could be better design wise for more durability.

This is the second pair I’ve bought just this year alone and they go out easy, they stopped working for no reason with a brand new controller they aren’t very good for long term use at all. I take very good care of them and I’ve tried to send them back because they just keep malfunctioning but since I didn’t buy warranty I can’t. And customer service doesn’t answer back with any answers. In my opinion I’d never buy these particular headphones ever again. Complete waste of money.

Worked great for a few weeks but now has a lot of static in the microphone. This may not be the headset though. Some online research indicates it may be the Xbox controller that has a problem with an inferior connector internally, Also, for some reason, my son thought this one glows, but it does not.

Before I talk about my biggest problem with this headset I'm going to talk about what I like. First, the sound quality is good for the price. Same goes for the mic as well. The mic can be detached when not in use which is very nice. The volume controls are nice and the mute switch works great. I often use it when I'm playing games and I dont want too deafen my friends with a sneeze.Now about the bad stuff. I have purchased this headset 2x. First time I baught it by accident cause I wanted a bluetooth headset that looked similar to this one, But honestly after awhile I enjoyed using it. The headset joins where your upper chest would be. Often when I take off the headset I have to take it off sideways as to not choke myself. Lastly I'd like to talk about its durability. The first pair I had broke after I'd say 5 to 7 months I think. Then I ordered a 2nd pair cause why not. I baught this pair in February and already the plastic holding the speakers in place are starting to break. I believe it's due in part because of how tight they fit. They tend to break where the band meets the speaker on the right side. Combined with me having to take them off sideways to not choke myself I think theres just to much stress on the bands and after a bit they break. This problem NEEDS TO BE FIXED, if it is possible. Otherwise I dont think I'll be buying another pair despite how much I like these.All and all, it's a pretty decent headset. The sound quality is good and a lot of the features like the volume controls are convenient. That being said, i do not recommend these headphones for on the go use or for anyone who has a big head. The bands will break under the slightest amount of additional strain. But if your just chilling at home, playing online with friends, and watching something. I do recommend them. As long as your careful with these I think they'll be a good fit. Hope this review helps.

I've been on the lookout for a headset to use with my PC livestreaming setup for a while now, and was pleased to find this relatively comfortable model with nice sound quality at an in-store display at a local store. Since they were fresh out of them I took to Amazon to find the same model. At first everything seemed to work nicely, the sound quality was nice and the headset fairly straight-forward to put together with an adjustable mic... But then I found that while the headphones are compatible with my PC, the mic was not. Needless to say I felt a bit silly not having checked compatibility before purchasing these, but it didn't even cross my mind when I was looking through headset options. With that said I can't speak on the quality of the mic itself (I don't have any game consoles/controllers that are compatible), but the sound from the headphones is very nice and they're relatively comfortable. I would say that the sound quality is maybe a step down from the quality of a $70 pair of headphones I own, but for the price they aren't bad at all. Other reviews mention durability issues, and I can certainly see that being a factor with how the plastic feels. If you make the same mistake I did and can't connect your headphones to your PC, there are workarounds available involving connecting controllers directly to your PC, but I didn't want to go through the hassle and just returned them with relative ease to continue my search for another headset.

I bought this for my kid's Nintendo Switch. After about 2 weeks, the Mic stopped working. Turns out the plug which serves dual purposes for mic and audio, is designed in such a way that after a while the contacts for the mic wear down and do not work on the Switch anymore but will work on Xbox, phones, etc. This may be an issue with the Switch but I ordered a different manufacturer's headset and it worked fine.

My son loves this headset so much, when it was time for a new one (after a year of daily, multi-hour use) he wanted the same kind. Now that's saying a lot for a gamer such as him.

Bought these for my son for a birthday gift. He has had other sets in the past but these are the most superior by far. Brilliant easy to use with the Xbox one and very clear speech/sound.

I bought these for my 9 year old son to use during the lockdown. He loves them and as soon as his oldr brother tried them on he ordered a pair as well.

Probably the best quality cheap headset I've used. Sounds great and very clear. Some noise from the cable and pin though (for example when the jack moves).

My son was very happy with this headset. He said the sound is great and the mic can be removed and replaced if need be which is good.Good service from Amazon too.

Excellent my son says works perfectly and he is super happy with it. Fast delivery as well perfect 🙂
