I bought this as a last resort for dogs fighting I tried other ways to break up the fight, this worked perfectly, I want to say the dogs I shocked were larger, I would highly second guess if the dogs are less than 45 pounds. The moment I gave the larger dog a quick shock she immediately backed off and the fight was over.

Any time the kids act up, snap, crackle, pop! Also good for wives/husbands.In all reality, though, I've used more expensive prods many times. This performs as good. What I really liked about it was the charging vs external batteries. When hauling cattle, truck space is limited, and having to carry spare batteries is a pain. This was perfect. Unfortunately, an ornery hereford bull decided he was, in fact, bigger than me and kicked the everloving **** out of my gate while I was closing it, which slammed back against the wall pinning the prongs and snapping them. Would have happened to any product, not a fault. I had to buy one at a truckstop, and even though it was name brand, it was heavier, more awkward, and didn't break down as compact. I'd trade it for one of these any day.This is balanced almost perfectly, you can hold it on one hand without wrist fatigue for hours if need be.Even though I'm not hauling anymore, I'll probably order another one for bedroom purposes...

Broke easily

I have to give credit to the company. My first one did not work as expected. The company took the time to contact me about my experience and apologize for the unit that was not up to my expectations. It was great to deal with a company that cares about their customers satisfaction and about their product. They replaced it without any problems. I have tested the new one and I am very pleased with its performance. I recommend this product to others and make sure you read the instruction manual to get the best performance out of the product. Very happy with purchase. I would never try anything on an animal if I was not positive it did NOT injure them. We have a big problem with dog attacks in our neighborhood. Was scared to walk my dogs in fear of attack. My husband tried this on himself before we ever would use it on an animal. It did the job. It won’t badly hurt an animal but would definitely help in my situation to prevent a dog attack.
