SMILING WORM: Our charcoal can be added to any growing media to improve drainage. It is virgin charcoal made from coconut shells. It has not had a previous life which may have contained glues, chemicals or resins. This is granular charcoal - average size is 2 mm. Use this product in small flower pots and bonsai trays. For large pots, planters and containers see our large charcoal which is more suitable (2 - 5 cm). Coconut shell charcoal is long lasting and will not absorb moisture, so excess water flows harmlessly away.
