A very good price point instead of buying the glass jars. We go through a lot of it in my house. Everybody likes it plenty of flavor with no burning heat. It’s not watery.

Very affordable. Minimal ingredients. Wonderful taste. No heat level. Chunky and a bit fluid, but no more so than others I've tried. Nice quality and you get a lot for your dollar. It's tasty and great with pulled chicken.

Delicious. My husband prefers the verde salsa when making enchiladas, burritos, huveos rancheros, and so much more. Hernandez salsa, whether red or green, has great flavor. Buying in the jug is the best value at $.96 per 7oz vs. $1.09 in the can. That doesn't seem much, but these days every cent saved counts.

While your typical decent supermarket salsa may cost $5 a jar nowadays, more or less depending on choice, this is still a steal. You should already know that it’s not going to deliver the same taste you may be used to in a chunky red type, like Pace. This has more of an earthy vibe, more authentic, no bitter citric acid aftertaste. You could cook with this salsa as is. I find it extremely mild and bland as a hardcore chile-head, so I add stuff like tamari, fresh lemon juice, cilantro, and diced tomatoes, jalapeños or Serranos to really revive it. For its purpose, as a canvas, it certainly bodes well. And you get plenty of salsa to work with.

The title says it all. This is the best bottled salsa verde available. Lucky for us, it's the best value as well, you don't find that happen very often. I've read some people complain that it's watery. It's not thick, but it pops with authentic tomatillo flavor and I love the texture, it's great for dipping or drizzling over your food. You can doctor it up and make it more spicy with some fresh serrano or add some cilantro, but honestly it's addicting straight out of the jug. Normally, I don't like large containers. Pace is a good example, it's not as good in those half gallon bottles. Seriously, it tastes different, but not so with Herdez Salsa Verde. It tastes just fine and stores well in this large size. You can waste your time and money on more expensive brands, but they're not as good.
