The Mayfair of rat homes
This home is fantastic, it is well constructed and very VERY big. I seriously reviewed my purchase before buying it and it is as good as people have said. The only negative is that there is no tube like in the picture and no food bowls but having a Jenny cage I will just use the ones out of that. Also I am 5ft 7inches tall and the top of the cage is just about level to my head so check your measurements before you buy!!The cage is surprisingly easy to put together and is very sturdy. It took myself and my other half two hours to do with minimal swearing. One negative to Amazon couriers is that the cage base in my cage has a corner that has broken off, its not integral to the cage but I feel that if your paying £250 for a cage it should come unbroken, that said it was easy to fix so not too much of a headache.I have four fuzzbutts, two big beautiful 8 month old boys and two teeny tiny 8 week old boys and this cage is going to be perfect. However my little boys need a few more weeks before I will put them in as I feel that they can get their head out of the bars.I particularly like the fact that the ladder from the bottom cage can be lifted up and it seals the opening giving you two separate cages if you really need it and its perfect if you want to gradually introduce new ratties into the gang. Each floor also has bars under the floors so attaching hanging items is super easy so you have lots of room for things to keep the little terrors happy.Someone mentioned that the kick boards around the bases are not deep enough but they seem ample to me. But I will edit this review later if they are not.I think that the fuzzbutts are going to think its Christmas next week when they go in it and I also think that it could easily hold up to about ten large troublemakers.I would recommend this cage to anyone that was a serious rat owner and planned to have them for a long time, its a sound investment and it will be enjoyed by all, another bonus as one reviewer has already said is that you can get great pictures of the rats without bars in the way due to the fully opening front doors and that's fantastic.I'm very happy with this cage/mansion and would advise anyone that has more than two rats to go for it. Its not a purchase that will be regretted.

Fantastic must have home for your rats!
This is a perfect home for my five male rats, lots of space to fill with hammocks etc, sturdy and easy to clean and fit toys. Can’t fault it. Customer service where also fantastic at sorting out an issue with delivery. Expensive but certainly worth the money.

there's a stonking great hole to drop through instead
Do not buy for degus!Bought beginning December, once the novelty of its newness wore off they soon discovered flooring was plastic & have now eaten almost completely through one floor tray, no need for the ladder to access lower floor now, there's a stonking great hole to drop through instead! (Despite it being well covered up!)Complete & total waste of money, quite a lot of money! Bitterly regret buying this!

Worth the money!
Positives- Large sturdy cage- Easy to clean as you can access all areas- The wire mesh between the levels allows you to hang up toys and treats.- Enables the ratties to use the whole cage (inside and out) as a climbing frame- Easy to follow instructions.Negatives- It is a monster of a cage. Make sure you have room for it before you order- Because it is heavy the wheels don't move as freely as I'd like (I am being picky now)This is an amazing cage that is worth the money and is built to last. I was apprehensive about parting with a lot of money but I am so happy I did. My rats love it!!

Not the best choice for female rats
I had this cage for my mischief of female rats for a year and a half and would not recommend it.- Assembly was easy enough, but it required two people and some guesswork.- The plastic trays were flimsy and my girls chewed through the corners pretty much straight away, so bedding started leaking everywhere. The manufacturer doesn't sell trays separately (or at least not in common places) so I had to buy replacement trays for a different kind of Savic cage, which didn't fit exactly right.- The wheels were poorly made and got stuck a lot, so I ended up having to drag/lift the whole thing when I needed to move it more often than not.- Bars for the floor were wayyy too far apart. As I said, my girls chewed holes in the bottom tray, and the bar spacing was wide enough for 6-month old females to escape through.
