The desk looks nice and holds up well and sturdy. To all the old people in the reviews complaining about misaligned pieces or pieces that broke during installation, that’s simply user error. This isn’t a “real” wood desk, it’s particle board like furniture you’d find at ikea. The only real wood things being the legs. Because of this it is prone to breaking if you are too rough or careless with it during installation. Take caution when using power tools/ratchets and take your time during installation. Don’t install anything too tight or you can break the particle board and make it unstable. It took me an hour and a half to install the right way. If you want a real wood desk you can expect to pay way more than a couple hundred dollars. This isn’t the 1950’s anymore, people! Brand new wood furniture costs a lot of money!! This is a nice and stylish desk for people on a budget that can’t afford the real mid century furniture that costs many hundreds to thousands of dollars. I highly recommend, do not let the bad reviews of people who broke their desk sway you from buying, they didn’t know what they were doing. Follow the instructions carefully, be patient, be gentle, and you have your self a nice desk. Overall I am happy with this purchase, it’s worth it.

The product arrived very well packaged and was easy to assemble. The parts and screws were neatly separated into individual bags with letters, making the process simple and organized. The manual was clear and accurate. The piece itself is beautiful, flawless, and exceeded my expectations. I’m really happy with this purchase—congratulations to the seller for such excellent quality and service!

I've assembled/used a bunch of furniture like this from IKEA, Amazon, Wayfair, etc. I will say this is one of the more solid and easy-to-assemble pieces I've built. Really like the look too. My only complaint is the drawer seems really flimsy. It doesn't lock into the desk, and the rollers don't seem real smooth. Great besides that though.

I was a bit intimidated by the assembly based off of customer reviews, so I let it sit in the box for a few days waiting to tackle it. I don’t own power tools or have the skills needed to do major projects, but this wasn’t bad at all. Either I got a good batch, the problem with the holes not aligning is resolved, or the installation video did the trick. Not sure. I will say that it’s important to watch the video. It slightly conflicts with the paper instructions, so follow the video. Only tighten the legs halfway when you first put them on and make sure those gray plastic circular things with the x’s on them are facing in the right direction. Do this and you’ll be fine. The piece under the desk that everyone complains limits leg room is annoying. But likely only will pose a problem for taller people. It’s a beautiful desk for sure. **Update** After using it with a newly purchased chair I can report that my legs definitely hit the weird piece of wood that juts out underneath the desk. I placed the desk on mini risers and removed the chair footing. It has helped a bit. It’s not enough to make me regret purchasing it, but it’s definitely an annoyance.

I purchased this desk from Amazon back in July, enticed by its sleek design and seemingly sturdy construction. However, after several months of use, I'm disheartened to report that my experience with this desk has been less than satisfactory. First and foremost, the most glaring issue I encountered with this desk is its lack of durability. Within a short period of time, two of the desk legs have completely detached, leaving me in a precarious situation. Despite my attempts to salvage it with wood glue and a drill, the structural integrity of the desk remains compromised. Currently, it's being propped up by stacks of books, which is far from an ideal solution. While the desk's aesthetic appeal initially drew me in, it's clear that looks can be deceiving. The overall design is indeed pleasing to the eye, but it's disappointing that the manufacturer didn't prioritize durability and sturdiness during production. It's evident that corners were cut in terms of materials and construction, resulting in a product that falls short in terms of longevity. On a more positive note, when the desk was intact, it served its purpose adequately. It provided sufficient workspace for my needs and fit well within my home office setup. However, the constant fear of it collapsing under even minimal weight now looms over every task I undertake at the desk. In conclusion, while this desk may appear attractive on the surface, its lack of durability ultimately renders it unfit for long-term use. If you're in the market for a desk, I would advise looking elsewhere for a higher quality option that will withstand the rigors of daily use.
