BAK 26309 BakFlip G2 Truck Bed Cover

I installed the G2 on my 2013 F150 shortbed with a factory drop in Bedliner. I am quite pleased with the result. Here are some installation notes:I was able to easily clamp down the rails with the factory Bedliner installed (they even came with the necessary shims pre-installed). I did have to modify (cut out) a small section of the Bedliner in the front cab side corners to insure a flush fit for the rails at the rear and provide a place to drop the drain tubes (which is recommended in the instructions). I marked off the small area and I used an oscillating tool to cut out the Bedliner material. This added about 30 minutes to the install - no biggie. After that, it was a quick effort to align the cover, add some hardware, and secure it.Based on other reviews here, I was on the lookout for metal shavings - I only found one, so I guess quality control has gotten better.Finally, the instructions are detailed - I did look at a couple of installation videos, but it really wasn't necessary in my case.All in all, it took me about 1.5 hours to install from unpacking to finish - not too bad.

I had a rolltrax before that took up cargo space and eventually split across the cover and fell apart after 2 years. I've had the Bakflip now about 6 months. It is very nice, doesn't take up cargo space, doesn't rattle when I drive and has a smooth low profile look. I would have given it 5 stars, but one of the support rods used to hold the cover when completely folded up against back window has fallen off and is rolling around in the bed of my truck.

After two years of use on my 2013 F150 Platinum short bed, it has held up nicely. Looks good on the truck and does a decent job of keeping everything dry underneath. Some water does sneak in along the front edge nearest the truck cab. A better weatherstrip design for that area would be nice. Was an easy install, and it is easy to operate.

Im still debating if this is worth the money. I love the look and its functionality but the rubber stripping that is glued to the cover have all come lose and I have only owned it 2 1/2 months. Several pop rivets have already started showing signs of rust.

I had a Pace Edwards Jackrabbit on my last truck but decided on my F-150 with the shorter 5.5ft bed I would try something different. The only problem with the roll back design is you lose almost a foot of bed. So this top looked better since I could fold it all the way back.So the installation was 10 minutes. wow, so much easier. You usually have to use shims and the directions even said I would need them and they even came with some, however when I pulled the rails out there was a sticker that said they were already installed for my truck. I was amazed on how easy it was to install, and looks to be very easy to take out if I need too.My only concern is the quality of the unit. I have only had it on for 3 days so I can't say whether it will hold up, but it doesn't look like it will. And I only say that because The pace edwards I had was on for 6 years, and I had no issues. I hope for the same with this... The quality of the unit isn't perfect, but then again it is almost $300 cheaper than the PE.All in all I am happy with it, it should do the job of keeping rain and snow out of the bed and fold up easily to fit my motorcycles when need be.

I visited a local accessory shop and came to the conclusion that this was the cover that would best meet my needs. But the price I got online was about 25% less than retail for the same product. The packing was good, no defects in the product on receipt. Then I saw the instructions, they were very short, but it turns out that's all that is needed. I had the product installed in less than 30 minutes. The video from the website was accurate, it opens and closes as easy as my desk drawer. I am very happy with the styling and the versatility of this unit. I can store much more in the bed now without worrying about weather and loss. I strap it open when I have large items in the bed, so far no issues. I would not say that it completely secures against theft even though I have a locking tailgate - I would say its a good deterent, but could easily be broken into, still it hides everything. This is my first cover, I didn't want one of those noisy, cheap-looking vynal ones, and I didn't want to lose visibility (closed and especially open) with one of the huge fiberglass units that requires two people to attach. I recommend this product to anyone with a truck.

On time, the right price, no significant issues. It is moderately easy to install. It is moderately large/heavy to handle - so it takes some effort - but less than 10 minutes to put on or take off. The top surface did suffer hail damage - but not my truck. The texture makes it a bit tough to get dirt off, and I have not yet risked putting a coat of wax on it for fear of a real challenge to remove. Overall - not bad, but could be a bit better.

Great. Easy to install. One star removed because it gets loose. The knobs underneath in the back of bed wiggle loose after 2 weeks. I noticed when I realized there was a gap at the tailgate. Had to readjust it and tighten them. Need to add a bolt or something to see if it will stay tight

makes a fantastic finish to my 2014 F150! Stays almost completely dry, even in our soaking wet northwest winter. Arrived in great packaging, was EASY to install, works just as I'd hoped and seen in all the online vids. Excellent product I would definitely recommend to anyone seeking a functional, secure, well-built cover for any pickup! Thanks BAK FLIP!
