Are you DONE with relationships that suck and suck and suck the life out of you?
I don't need this book. I've written a book about boundaries myself, and I was actually checking out the potential competition.But the beautifully designed cover intrigued me, and I'm always on the hunt for good recommendations for my coaching clients and others, so I figured I'd pick it up. Honestly, I was almost positive it would be another one of those slapdash "journals" you see on here, with 30 repetitions of the same page after about 14 pages of text.You probably know what I'm talking about.This book is NOT that.This little book is a gem.Not only will you learn a surprising amount about codependency and be able to spot it in yourself and others, but you'll also have fun exercises to help you really remember the information and put it to use.The voice of the book is kind and educational, each chapter is an easy read, and has actionable content that you can use to improve your life RIGHT NOW.I will definitely be recommending this book to people, and I recommend it to you. *smiles*

A brilliantly designed workbook for getting to the heart of the matter
Some “workbooks” throw in a few questions and random exercises onto many lengthy lectures and call themselves interactive. This is a true workbook that has many well-crafted, targeted and focused sections for applying the key information to your own life: questionnaires, ratings, open spaces for writing without binary limits, relational, and examples. I was particularly impressed with the sections dealing with the following topics: differentiating unhealthy co-dependency from health interrelationships; root-causes of being or inflicting overcontrol; the importance of developing self-worth and how to do so; why and how to set boundaries versus building walls; and how to do self-care without being selfish. Truthfully, this is one of the best workbooks I’ve ever seen on any topic. For all those who feel their relationships are out of balance, I highly recommend this short but potent book!

Enlightening Book
This is a comprehensive guide with many practical multi-choice question exercises to help identify and heal co-dependency behaviors defined in the book as: "... a dysfunctional pattern of behavior in which a person relies on another person to meet their emotional and/or physical needs to the extent that they prioritize the needs of the other person over their own."The chapter about setting healthy boundaries spoke to me. It was full of valuable information about boundary setting. The following quote, in this book, by well-known scholar and author, Brené Brown, sums it up: "Daring to set boundaries is about having the courage to love ourselves even when we risk disappointing others." The other five chapters were equally enlightening.

Must buy for anyone with difficult relationships
This workbook is amazing! In just the first chapter alone, I could identify years of issues in a certain relationship in my life that I could never figure out. I found the quizes throughout extremely helpful and insightful as well. A lot of things I've been experiencing and feeling in this relationship I thought were normal, but this workbook has really opened my eyes to the dangers of codependent relationships and also inspired me with actionable steps to take to improve them. Must buy for anyone who needs to process and sort through a codependent relationship.
