A tip to share is that I cut out a square of the Grow Pads to fit the base of an empty store bought salad plastic container - made some holes in the bottom of the container for air to pass through and then soaked and squeezed all the water out of the pad, then placed it on the bottom of the plastic container and then sprinkled my seeds on top of it and sprayed it regularly throughout the day with cold water. The sprouts started to come out in abut 2-3 days. Review: Not a good medium for wheatgrass - Been growing wheatgrass and thought I would give these a try. Been using cocoa fiber as well as and a mix of Perlite and Peatmoss. When using these mats, the growth was uneven and the wheatgrass did not grow as tall as the other mediums in the same amount of time. Would say the grass with these mats were about 2 inches shorter than what I was getting. Tried three trays so far will the same results in each. I was hoping these would work out as the cocoa fiber is way more expensive.

Sprouts work okay with this

Kinda difficult to use
You must absolutely have your procedure down. Potting soil is a tad easier to get results. But each has its weaknesses and strengths.

Awesome Product!
If you go to the Sure To Grow web site they have an amazing video on how to use these for sprouting applications. It's easy and the product works wonderfully. I can grow an entire tray of sprouts in just a few days or cut the product in half to make it last a little longer, if I don't need as many. Very versatile for sprouting and sterile and pH stablized to boot!

mildew every time
I used these mats to try and grow microgreen sunflower seeds. I followed the directions but each time I ended up with mildew. Then afterwards you are stuck with a pad that I am not sure is even biodegradable. Just use dirt to grow microgreens and everything will turn out better.

Great for sprouting
For my sprouts, this is perfect. I have been using the jar system to sprout, but I hate the hulling part. With these pads, the sprouts just come right off so you can just cut off the bottom part with hull.
