Why did you pick this product vs others?:Reel for fine description is confusing online thought it would be larger reel . That probably my misunderstanding of descriptions

Para ser 3000 es muy pesado y de tamaño exagerado, sin embargo es muy fino y resistente, sigue siendo mejor la serie Kodiac.

This reel is very smooth and built well. It will hold up to big redfish with no problem. The only complaint is the weight. I have the 3000 model and it weighs 13.8 oz. If you are using this reel for inshore fishing, I recommend getting their lighter models. I am going to use this reel for offshore snapper and bull red fishing so the weight does not matter for my application. For inshore bay fishing the reel should not weigh more then 6-7 oz. If everything goes well I will probably purchase some more for offshore fishing but go with the 5000 model for tarpon and large red snapper.
