Great Set
I just moved into a new apartment, and the first night we cooked, we used one of these pans to make a rice mix. Having been adjusted to my previous stove, I accidentally turned the wrong burner to medium heat and left the one I was using on high (the nobs are flipped from what I'm used to). Not noticing until the smell seemed too bad to be the oven, all of the liquid had cooked out of the pan and we could see the blackened edges. If you've ever overcooked rice or pasta, you know what a nightmare that can be to the bottom of a pan. I was sure we had destroyed the pan on the first use and I was super bummed. When I went to go attempt to scrape out the rice over the sink, the entire chunk of rice just fell out and the pan looked good as new. I just had to run some hot water over the pan to get a few leftover burnt pieces off, and it was completely clean. I was very impressed by the nonstick coating. I used to have a glass top stove with multiple sizes, and hadn't realized that regular coil stove burners don't get as big as my glass top did, so I have one pan (separate from these) that is way too big for my burners. All of the pieces in this set fit on my new burners perfectly, though, so most stove tops will likely accommodate this set if that is something you might be concerned about. Another thing I really enjoy is that the lids that are meant for the sauce pans also fit nicely on the saute pans. Also, the orange grips on the handles and lids don't get hot at all, so you don't need an oven mitt to move the pan or remove the lid (unless the steam from the pot requires an oven mitt). These pans are definitely not "the best", but for the price they are definitely a strong contender. I would say this is an above average starting set for someone who has just moved out and needs a basic set of pans. It has everything you would need when first moving out, in my opinion.

A really nice grilling pan, nice size and function
I have used this grill pan for 5 months about 1-2 times a week. Structurally this pan is 11" square and ~2 to 2-1/2 deep. It arrived intact, no scrapes of anything like that. I purchased the pan w/orange colored handle. The handle is ~9" long, so if you are planning storage space, the overall span, then is about 20" (see pics) and diagonally it is 13-1/4", so I have it stacked on a 14" round pan. The grill nubs/ridges are about 1/16" high, ~ 5-1/2 " long. The handle feels like a soft silicone and there is a nice indentation for your thumb to grab on to the handle. The handle is nice in that it doesn't within reason heat up (like a metal handle) or if you keep an eye on location, does not burn. The handle does not fold. The ad / info says it can withstand oven temps to 350 degrees. It is made of anodized aluminum and should not rust. The attachment of the handle to the pan is well done and study- with the rivets being a good size. The grill pan weighs 2 lbs-5 oz for those conscious of weight, much less than a cast iron skillet. No seasoning / pre -seasoning needed. I use it on a gas stove, but the Q&A info indicates it works on electric, ceramic, glass, and electric cooktops; but not induction. In contrast to cast iron, the pan does not hold heat once the burner is turned off. The gill is divided up into 4 sections, great for burgers, steaks, grilled cheese sandwiches, and seared AHI tuna, of course for longer cuts of meat such as a flank steak, it does not provide the continuous (pretty) pattern of the outdoor BBQ. I use the grill on a Viking gas stove with a 4" burner with a grate of about 8" and the pan heats quickly and evenly. I think I read somewhere to not cook at higher than medium-high. The non-stick surface has worked well thus far and I use less oil than maybe other pans. For splash/splatter control I use a round lid. Rachel Ray does not make a square lid, but there is one avail from another vendor (see link below), I haven't purchased this. Cleaning is easy with a scouring/sponge pad / brush designed for teflon type surfaces, sometimes letting it soak awhile after dinner. If overcooked in particular, the brush will work well to clean between the folds of the grill. Other times I just throw it in the dishwasher. Clean-up is so easy, I have gotten away from using the gas grill on the Viking gas stove. Overall pleased with this grilling pan, functional, easy to use, cleans easily, a great size for the typical burner/cooking appliance. Amazing
This is such a wonderful, large frying pan. Since we bought it, it's the only thing we use. Tonight we made paella and it was so easy. My girlfriend loves it because it's relatively lightweight and easy for her to hold and move around. It's also easy to clean. We're thinking about buying a second one exactly like this because we like it so much. Seems like a tremendous value when it goes on sale. We're also looking into other pots and pans in the same line. Highly recommended!

Great set of pots and pans
This is my third set of these pots and pans from Rachel Ray. I’ve owned this set with red accents and the cucina set in orange. Both sets were great and lasted a year or so with heavy daily use. I briefed switch over to a ceramic set for a few years and I was not happy with them. This hard andonized set has been my favorite to cook on. It’s also been the most hardy. I have a teenager in my house that makes ramen in the middle of the night and doesn’t like to follow cooking rules about not using silverware as cooking tools. This set has stuck out in my mind as the most hardy and it can stand up to hard use in my kitchen. It has very pretty aqua accents which look great in my gray kitchen. The tops fit great and I love that they are so sturdy. The family size skillet is my favorite piece of this set, it’s so nice and deep. I’ve not had a similar piece come with any other set. Rachel Ray knows what’s up in the kitchen and I appreciate that! Overall I’m very pleased with this set and look forward to using it more.

Best Value.
This Rachel Ray cook set is very nice. The reason that i bought it where because it was dishwasher safe. And after purchasing it i found that this statement was only partially true. In the instruction that came with my set it states that the hard anodized II set is only dishwasher safe if it is "fully encapsulated" while it is in the dishwasher. i'm still not completely sure what the manufacturer means by this but I have written to them to find out exactly what they meant. Also like most non stick cookware there is a temperature limit. To maintain the factory limited life time warranty you must keep the cookware under a certain temperature. Unfortunately most common stoves and ranges only allow you to select the temperature with the numbers Low 1-10 Hi. So you are going to need to know at what point on your stove to stop so you don't harm your new cook set. The one bad design about these pans are the fact that the handles are riveted to the pans. Food does like to stick to these rivets every time you use them. The last negative point about these pans is the fact according to the manufacture is you are not suppose to use heavy oils in them. Like vegetable or canola oils. You can use lighter oils like olive oil. But only to flavor the food itself. Not a lot to fry or to use as a non stick spray. And you shouldn't have to use a non stick spray with these pans. Other then these complaints this cook set is very nice for the price. Unlike Teflon, hard anodized should never flake off ever. After several months of almost daily use on a couple of the pans, the pans still look brand new on the inside and work just like they did the first time. The out side bottoms of the pans are a different story. I have an electric range and the pans are painted on the out side. They do tend to retain stains and scratch easily. I have not had any problem with the out side paint flaking off however. I gave this set a 4 out of five stars even with it;s flaws. The reason being I'm really comparing it to all the other non stick cookware out there. Teflon and anodized alike. There are better cook sets to be had but they start about the $500 dollar range. So this one doesn't get a five. But compared to everything this set is still better then 95% of the sets out there. I would defiantly buy this set again.

because now I love these pans
I bought the Rachel Ray 8 1/2 and 12 /12 inch skillets, the hard ionized nonstick in black with the orange grip. It took me some time to "practice" using these pans on low heat and just getting used to how they work. It was worth it to follow the instructions, because now I love these pans. I was surprised how lightweight they are. I was using coated cast iron and stainless steel prior, so the weight of these feel like a feather. I like the design of these pans as they are a little more "wok" style and gives opportunity for more diverse cooking. I bought these pans mainly for cooking eggs initially, since I raise fresh chickens and eggs. My eggs taste so much better in these pan! The 12 1/2 pan is much easier to cook with as you do not have to be as careful about higher heats, since the pan is larger than the burner. The small pan is very sensitive, and you must be very mindful about the heat level as the bottom of this pan is the same or smaller than the small burner. I take good care of these pans and am very careful of how I wash them and stack them. They wash up very easily, which is such a blessing and saves alot of brain damage in the kitchen. I am careful, because I really like these pans and want them to last and of course wouldn't want the coating to start peeling off! The rivets clean up nice if you soak them for a short bit. You can even use the soft side of the sponge. I have the 12 1/2 inch pan 5 stars, because it works great no matter what, and all food out of this pan is cooked just right and super tasty. I gave the 8 1/2 inch pan 4 stars because of having to be super careful about the heat levels, because of the size of the pan.

Rachel Ray Set of Pans
Love the set of pans. Light weight, clean up nice. Color wasn't exactly what I wanted, but price was the cheaper than other colored handles.
