No dented brass no wear
this deflector works awesome! I had bent brass and nick marks on my rifle. Two problems solved with one product. I can reload my brass without dents on the side of the casing. Also... I do not have to worry about unnecessary wear on the ejection port...

Not scratching the gun
Does what it is supposed to do. Deflect the cartridges from your gun. If you have cerakote finish on your gun it will not scratch it. I would recommend this product.

Not of good quality for the money
I bought these thinking they were going to be a little thicker piece of rubber, these are nothing but foam rubber, doubt they will last very long at all, That's a lot to pay for piece's of foam that probably didn't cost anymore than a few cents !! The idea was good, but the quality isn't... I guess it cost a lot for the plastic box !! And you no longer get the little glass or plastic window things to go under your cocking lever, which makes it even a worse deal !! Now they want $12.00 for them, are they crazy !!!

It works great
I am a right handed man that shoots leftie. i have used this product for 6 months. I did not have to make expensive changes to my rifle to avoid ejected shells. This little product deflects the shells forward and off to the right of the gun. I NEVER get hit by any shell. It comes with 4 devices and I am still on my first one. About 1000 rounds. great product.

So simple, yet so effective
Pros:+ Relatively inexpensive+ Multiple come in a pack+ Simple, elegant solution to getting hot brass in your face+ LightweightCons:- ConsumableTL;DR: These things work well, are relatively low priced, and doesn't add excessive bulk to your pew pew build-outThis is one of those simple things that you wait to get and then when you actually get it, wonder, "where have you been all my life?!" I waited too long to get these things for my pew pew, and they went up in price (still very reasonable in 2024). Once installed, which literally took 3 mins, these little pads become invisible on your pew pew and just work. I recently tested it out and had not a single brass casing bounce back and hit me—all of the casings landed pretty close together away from where I was stationed. There was little wear from usage, but this is to be expected as it is a consumable resource. The ease of installation (and I'd imagine removal, for replacement) and value for the price makes this a no-brainer addition to any marksman's pew pew.

Not as effective as one would hope
I'm using a AR-10 with a DPMS Pattern instead of the Armalite pattern which is chambed in .308 WIN. I had to cut off some of the block to match my deflector more. There's a lot of different deflector shapes out there that all types of companies use, so I guess that isn't too much of a surprise.Pros:- The adhesion was great, never seemed to be an issue, even after I cut off 20%.- High quality foamThe Cons:- Had to cut the block to the shape of my deflector.- The brass still traveled just as far compared to before.- If the trajectory was changed at all it was more forward.- 85% of the casings ended up on the range instead of next to me or anywhere more convenient than on the range.- Still had plenty of bent necks- In my opinion the aesthetics were worse because of it, especially since I had to cut the foam to match the shape of my deflector.Because I think the idea is great and I was using larger and heavier brass compared to the 5.56, I left the rating a little higher than I probably should. If I had an AR-15 to test on in the future, I'll probably update this review. If you're using a AR-10/AR-308 then I would go elsewhere unless you don't even have a deflector.

Works as expected
Very good adhesion to my AR15 M4. Works really well. I did have to trim the excess of a little bit. But no worries. Protects my deflector. Thats all that matters

Check your brass deflector first.
These brakes are great for only certain upper receivers. I have 2 that have brass deflectors that come out a little bit more forward to the ejection port and having this there would cause the brass to not fully eject every once in a while. That being said, I do have 1 upper that has a more milspec angle and this thing does a great job keeping spent brass away from the user.
