It's a good blender - nice heavy glass jug; and a good looking base. The motor is fairly quiet too. But it doesn't quite rate five stars.The jug might state 1.5L capacity but you'd be mad to fill it to that level. Fill it to anything above half and liquid spurts out the lip when you switch on.The lid is only sealed with a rubber ring. Even holding it firmly doesn't keep the liquid in. Thus you can only liquidise small quantities each time.Given that the next available glass jug blender is at least £10 more expensive, this is probably decent value, but beware the jug spurting hot soup!

I should have sent this blender to Trading Standards for appraisal, for it is, in my view, a dangerous item and not fit for purpose. However, as Amazon agreed to refund me my money and pay for the item to be returned - to a third party seller - I decided to take that route.Now, though, I am worried that someone else may suffer injury, as did my wife. Read this review and don't buy this blender.The problem with it is the lid is just push-fit.When you have any liquid in the blender and switch it on, to pulse or slow, it blows the lid right off, and sprays the contents of the blender everywhere.It happened to my wife, with hot soup. She was scalded, but thankfully did not need medical treatment. The mess was everywhere - on her clothes, on the kitchen cupboards, on the wall, and on the floor.I put some cold water in it, then held the lid down firmly, and it still blew the lid off.So, thank you Amazon for dealing with the return so promptly and without argument, but please withdraw this item from sale.

wasnt impressed, but does the job. mainly what i dont like is that it looks cheap.
