no directions on container. how much should i use for a half cup of seeds? a spoonful? heated up first? thanks.

I also use a 1/2 cup of seeds and found that I use 2-3 Tbls. of the oil and my corn tastes very good. I also use about a tsp. of Flava Col in the oil before adding the seeds as well. Put about 3 seeds in the oil after it melts and wait for the 3rd seed to pop before adding the rest of the measured popcorn..that way you'll know the oil is hot enough to pop up the best corn you'll taste.

Does it 'really' have a "buttery" flavor?

My husband who makes the popcorn likes it. I'm not getting the "buttery" flavor at all. Just from the person who cooks in this household :)
