Leaks and bad design
I’ve used it about 3 times now to take with me on my commute to work. At first I gave it the benefit of the doubt thinking I had not screwed the lid properly as it leaked all over my bag . But the next few times I realised that if it’s not in an upright position at all times then it will leak everywhere. If this is the case I might as well just take my coffee in a mug to work!I was shocked at this fault due to the price of the portable mug and the fact I have used there water bottles before and they’re not so bad.On top of all this I don’t understand what their trying to do with the lid, it’s like a screw top that releases a small hole to drink out of, but this is really stiff and has no direction noted on which way to twist so you end up unscrewing the hole thing leading to more leakages.i have tried relentlessly to loosen the screw top but still no better.Poor design and really impractical

Fabulous cup, keeps my drinks hot
This is a fabulous cup that keeps my drinks hot for circa 6 hours, at which point they are not boiling hot but still warm enough to be a pleasant drink. The twist lid means that the mug does not leak and it provides a nice size hole for drinking. The lid can at times be a little stiff to open/close.The base enables me to put the cup down quietly, which is particularly useful if I am in a meeting or drinking whilst my husband sleeps next to me.The cup is easy to clean and is a perfect size to provide a good drink without being too big to hold. I have the 500ml size in Abyss (black). Definitely recommend this product.

Good enough
Why did you choose this product over others?:Cute design. Fits in drinks holder. Be aware the cup sometimes leaks at the seam, so unless completely screwed on it might leak. I learned this the hard way and scolded my hand making coffee this morning 😬

super duper
I've got the first gen chilly's coffee mug as well but it's getting old, tried the newer model and it's great. Initially quite stiff to open the drinking hole but it does warn you about this and loosens with the first use, love the thing!

Style over function - so many flaws
I am very disappointed with this Chilly's travel mug. I like the design and style of Chilly products but really there are better alternatives for half the price. There are so many things where this product falls down, it is hard to imagine how this made it through the design process to market. Firstly, it's a travel mug and it doesn't fit into a standard cup holder, it is too wide for my VW. Then, its stated capacity is 340ml but the only way to get that volume is to have it brim full so it is more like 300ml ie smaller than a standard mug. Next the stylish matt paint is in fact too slippery to get a grip easily so it's a bit of a pain to hold. The lid is another letdown. It has a swivel top to open the drinking point. But despite some notches in the lid which are there to help you grip the rotating part, it is not sufficient so you end up wrestling with it to twist it open. You are more likely to keep getting the whole lid to turn and open rather than open the drinking point. A further problem is the tiny air hole in the lid, which should allow air in to get the drink out, is right where my, very average, nose hits the top of the drinker. With this blocked you can't get any drink out so I have to drink it with my head slightly skewed to avoid blocking the air inlet. Finally, when it tips over, it leaks. To sum up it is difficult to understand how this made it to market. Sadly for me, it is used now so I can't get a refund but I would have sent it back if I could.
