I Want to Clean my Bicycle
There is nothing quite like getting a brand new bike, especially when you are a kid, but there is also nothing quite like bringing it back for the first time after a ride and it being covered in mud. Over the summer our bikes get some decent use and we do not really clean them, but they do have a little rest in the winter. Therefore, over these months resting in the garage they build up a layer of hard mud and need a little TLC. WD-40 may be best known for oil in a can that you squirt on your door hinges to stop them squeaking, but they also make 'WD-40 Bike Cleaner'. This does what it says on the tin (or in this case bottle) and helps you to clean your bikes.I don’t think that the solution in this ‘Bike Cleaner’ has many similarities to the oil that WD-40 produce, but it does have a good effect. The bottle sprays out a little of the cleaner and you can use a cloth to wipe the bike. It needs some elbow grease to get stubborn stains off a bike, but it is clear that the liquid is helping to break down the grime. The bike after it is cleaned has a slight shine to it and the smell is not unpleasant, but you should not really sniff a bike. A good element is not a huge amount of cleaning fluid is needed to do the job. One bottle covers the entire family’s bikes and I should be able to get another 4 or 5 doses out of it. For the casual biker who cleans a bike once a year or so, this ‘Bike Cleaner’ does the job.

Makes oil and grease easily removed using water.
Usually associated with the WD 40 Product that seems to fix and lubricate just about everything this WD Bike Cleaner product is an entirely different chemical. This contains Benzisothiazolinone which has the property of making oil , dirt and grease water soluble. There are many other manufacturers that make this sort of product .My bke was not dirty enough to test but my car alloy wheels were a good trial. Oddly you spray with water first than spray on this cleaner , loosen the dirt with a brush or cloth then spray with water again. It did a first class job without any effort. There is a large warning to wear eye protection and I would add that gloves may be appropriate too.If you are cleaning the chain and cassette on a bike remember it is not a lubricant and you will need to apply your normal chain lubricant after cleaning.

A bike cleaner - who knew?
I have never been a keen cyclist. I got a bike from ebay last year for £30 and just spent the same on one for my 10 year old. This was a well timed item..but honestly I've never cleaned a bike in my life. It did make them look clean and shiny and i like the spray action as it's easy to use. I heeded the other reviewers who say to lube up the chain after doing so i sprayed normal wd40 on after cleaning. As a non professional 5 times a year cyclist i like this and will probably still be using it for a couple of years until it runs out. because I wont clean them again this year!

Excellent from a trusted brand
I very trusted brand and a nice, new product that worked very well on my mountain bike, Not too agressive and a nice smell too.

East to apply and rinse off
I used this on my dirty Brompton and it does gently foam up and gives the impression it helps lifting dirt off the frame and wheels. Not 100% convincing but would use again and I might buy it again.

Another great addition to the WD40 range. Top class results.
After a period of injury which meant I could not use my bike I am now nearing the point where I shall be able to ride again. As it is well over a year since I was able to ride the bike has gathered quite a lot of dust and dirt from being in the shed. (And I might not have cleaned it thoroughly after the last use). This cleaner worked superbly getting the muck off and I now have a rather sparkly looking bike again. A bit of effort is needed but that is more a reflection that bikes are just fiddly things to work on rather than any flaw in the product.

Quality and effective
This is a great quality bike cleaner - perfect for bodywork or wheels - and really easy to use. Just spray and wipe.My son is heavily into his MTB so this is a god send - with regular use it also helps to 'repel' some of the more tenacious mud and grime. No nasties so peace of mind to use too.Highly recommended.

Works ok, but not sure the bike is any cleaner than just with plain water
I'm a keen cyclist, and I also like to keep my bikes in top condition. I usually clean them with (for my mountain bike) a pressure washer, or (for my road bike) a bucket, water and a microfibre cloth and a couple of small brushes to get into the crevices.I tried this spray on my road bike, which while not caked in mud, has picked up a lot of splashes of muck, dust and general road grime in the last month or so. The spray goes on easily - it has a nice wide spray pattern, so covers well - and smells ok; very like bubble-blowing fluid from my childhood! It doesn't foam as such - it's just a clear liquid. I agitated it with brushes and cloth, rinsed well and dried with a clean microfibre. The bike did indeed look clean and shiny. Then again, I really can't say it looked any more clean and shiny than it does when I do exactly the same thing with plain water. I'm uneasy about using chemicals in case they remove lubricants, so I reoiled the chain just to be safe, but given the effect this had on cogs (i.e. not much compared to a dedicated drivetrain cleaner like Muc-Off), I suspect it is pretty safe in that regard. From the amount I used, I guess a bottle would last 5 or 6 washes. So it's reasonable value - but that's if you really think it makes a difference to how clean your bike is. Me, I'm not that convinced.
