The best author I knowto
Another great book in the series thankyou Nora. It would take me forever to write the positives. Great stories, characters, murder, kick ass, sky-fi light all in a book. Next!

Great storyline
After a couple of more sedate books, this is back to the Dallas I love. A murder with a twist, and a twist on the killer that doesn't stop twirling until the very end.

Fabulous
Eve and Rourke. Love this series. JD Robb is still giving us this amazing series and the cases are so interesting. Loved how this instalment also focuses on family and friendships and how Eve navigates this. It’s lovely to see how she has evolved from the very first book. This is still one of my favourite series. Highly recommended.

Suspenseful and engaging
Love losing myself in J D Robbs Eve Dallas books, have the full series and have enjoyed re-reading all of them. This one does not disappoint.

Love her books. Always a good plot. . Good strong female characters. Not dumb or foolish or petty. Love that husband of hers. Recommend completely Wonderful series.

Always lovely to come back to the familiar world of Dallas-Roarke. A fairly decent addition to the J D Robb universe. Same as with the last dozen books, they are well written and comforting in their familiarity, but definitely don't match up to the brilliance of the first dozen or so books. Final verdict - Read it, if a fan of the series/or to stay abreast with the character arcs. If a cursory reader, can be skipped. Spoilers - Not a great fan of the 'Eve's detective gut senses something is off' trope and that's the sole guiding force behind honing in on the suspects. As a procedural, all the grunt work seems moot and unsatisfying, since the 'bad guys' turn out to be people Eve has a fixated on all along.

I fell in love with this series from the very first book. Each book brings a different story that is always well written, original, intriguing, entertaining, super enjoyable and very engaging. This book is no exception! This is one of those series that is a ONE-OF-A-KIND in the police/ crime solving genre. The FMC Eve Dallas is so unique, likeable, fierce, brave and extremely determined when it comes to solving the puzzle and catching the bad guys. Her yummy, super smart and resourceful husband Roarke adds even more to the story and all the secondary characters, including the very steadfast, funny and amazing Peabody (Eve’s partner) is the cherry on top! Even though the books don’t need to be read in order, I do recommend to do so as it gives the reader the opportunity to get to know the characters and see their growth with each and every book. Highly Recommended 🩷💜🩷

I really enjoyed the storyline, and while I did guess correctly, the killer, I didn't have a motive. I really wish these books were a TV series. What bothered d me, though, was the editing. It appears to be edited by a computer, not a person.

Back and better than ever. Eve, Roark, Peabody and all my favs are back for this late summer mystery. Twists and turns — a great whodunnit. I love the exchanges between Eve and all….but I’d like to know what crawled up Langley’s butt to make him hate Eve so much. I’d also like to have watched Mira’s session with him. One scary f***. Well it’s only five months until the next book.
