City of the Dead (City Spies)

My kids and I love the city spies books. They are well written and just a fun book series about kids doing cool things!

It's a really well written book. I'm confused on why on the spine the engraving is Daniel Blake and not James Ponti. Has this hapoened to anyone else?

I bought 3 of this series for my great nephew and he loves them!

This was a great read for middle school ages. The audiobook is great, too. Kind of fluffy, not a deep thinking book. Definitely entertaining appeals to all kids. Nothing too controversial or disturbing. My kids ages 7 to 16 enjoyed it.

Love the City Spies. Wish there were more of the series Already finished this one in ONE day!!

I love the City Spies series. City of the Dead is a fabulous addition.The kids are well developed as characters. They are inventive and fun to read about.This book takes the team to Egypt. I love the descriptions.I was in Egypt earlier this year (2023). This book makes me want to go back for a fuller experience.I think adults can appreciate this story as well or more than kids.

James Ponti never disappoints! City of the Dead continues to deliver the thrills, historical anecdotes and adventures of the awesome characters we’ve come to know and love in the City Spies series. But the best part is the continuation of the through line regarding Mother and his family- both found and otherwise. For mystery lovers of all ages!

My son loved the entire series! The story is relatable for boys and girls. He's in grade 4 and had no problem reading these books alone.

My son, 12, read all volumes and this one was a very fast read for him, too. He loves the story and hopes for another volume to come out.
