3 Months to No.1: The "No-Nonsense" SEO Playbook for Getting Your Website Found on Google

I bought Will Coombe's book because I am starting a business with a pretty new website, and I am looking to build up my SEO so that my website eventually appears on the first page of Google for my area. It was worth every dime, and then some. If you are interested in learning the ins and outs of this area of marketing, don't hesitate. Mr. Coombe writes in such a clear, conversational, easy-to-read manner, that it's almost like you're hanging out with an old friend who knows exactly what you need to know, and has an amazing sense of humor. He guides the reader through the benefits of SEO and all of the facets involved in improving the SEO of your website. As one who is completely new to this area, I can now say that I have a familiarity with what is needed for proper SEO for a website, and know exactly what I need to do to make it work. The book also gives you access to several videos that Mr. Coombe has put together to show the reader the various concepts illustrated throughout. The videos are extremely well done, and are so much more fun, entertaining, and useful than several pages of graphics, arrows, and how-to-instructions ever would be for such things. At the end of the book, Mr. Coombe brings it all together for the reader by providing a week-by-week, easy-to-follow guide for the reader to get their SEO going over the course of three months. The world needs more authors like Will Coombe, who can clearly see from the reader's perspective and explain a complicated topic in a clear, friendly, fun manner that keeps you engaged. As one who has been frustrated with many a "how to cook" book (I can't cook to save my life, mainly because no one ever taught me and every "cooking for beginners" book still assumes that you have some kind of minimum base knowledge, which...I don't...and technically beginners shouldn't have base knowledge...see what I'm getting at?), I can say that Will Coombe's book will take you step by step from knowing absolutely nothing about this topic, assuming that you are a true beginner. And if there is something he's about to go over that he thinks you might already know or could be incredibly obvious to some readers, he'll tell you in advance that he doesn't mean to insult your intelligence, and that you can skip it if needed - see how brilliant this man is? Not only helping the true beginner but saving precious time for the somewhat-savvy SEO aficionado by anticipating the needs of the many. I could easily write a small book on how great this book is, but I'll stop here. If you made it this far into this review, then you must be serious about SEO. So, don't hesitate. Buy the book. You'll be so happy you did.

A quick background: I've never really worked with SEO before. So, when it came time to design my website, I had very little traffic and absolutely no conversions. Since I hate reading, I turned to blogs that claimed if I followed their tips, I could have a website that ranked number one in google in a VERY short amount of time. These websites did little to nothing to help me. So, like anyone with something to buy does, I went to amazon to search for an SEO book that would make me an expert. Before reading this, I had gone through about three other books (all of which were hard to understand and either provided too much detail or not enough). Even though I hate reading, I found that Mr. Coombe was able to write about SEO in a unique way (one that is full of great examples and humor). Naturally, I was able to actually remember what I'd just read and implement it on my website. The price for this book is NOTHING compared to what you get in return. Allow me to highlight a few of the perks you receive by purchasing this book: 1. You are given access to a series of well thought out videos that are short, yet detailed. They range from the perfect URLs to keyword research. If you are a visual learner like me, they are a ton of help! 2. You are given a FREE trial to SEMRush, a very valuable tool that cost $99.95 per month. 3. Perhaps the most impressive perk that comes with purchasing this book is that the author, Will Coombe, is eager to help you with any questions you have. About a week after buying the book and signing up for his online video series (which comes with the book for free), he sent an email to me asking if I had any questions. I sent him a question, thinking I would receive a generic response linking me to an article. What I got instead was a detailed video response he recorded exclusively for me. This act alone makes it clear that not only can Will write a great book, but he stands behind his product and is very willing to provide quality help! 4. He includes a 3 Months to No.1 blueprint that is outlines a weekly plan. It goes in-depth into what you should accomplish and includes references to videos should you get lost. Of course, there are many other perks I didn't highlight, but there are just so many that it's hard to cover all of them in a short review. The bottom line: This book is worth the price and I look forward to purchasing Will's next book. I will update this review in 6 months’ time with my results.

I bought this book after searching for a definitive source to learn the fundamentals of SEO marketing from someone who is a practitioner in the field. After reading the book, I now have a solid grasp on what search engine optimization (SEO) is all about and also have a detailed action plan from the author on how to practically implement the knowledge with the ultimate goal of generating increased web traffic. If a business owner or marketing consultant is seeking a roadmap on the "How" to practically implement SEO, I would highly recommend the study of this material. The author Will Coombe co-founded Sharpe Digital (a London SEO agency) and uses the strategies in this book everyday with his business clients. He walks the reader through the whole SEO process with examples -- including keyword research, on-page optimization, link building, content marketing, and a lot more --and explains the technical aspects in simple-to-understand language. Included with the purchase is a series of video tutorials that can be accessed upon proof of receipt. There is a reason why this book is highly-rated as the author offers genuine, actionable advice! Before studying any other SEO material, I would read this book!

Excellent book with common sense advise Highly recommended

After blindly jumping from one web resource to another (and not really getting it) I luckily saw it mentioned in the comments on someone's twitter post. I've only started into it a few weeks ago and am already seeing results from following the method in the book. I started with a few low competition words that looked achievable and have already moved up the ranks and achieved conversions, just from having my seo sorted out! The book is so well written and easy to follow. It demystified a lot of the SEO jargon for me, it pulls it all together in an understandable, easy to read format. The video tutorials are also really helpful as are the recommendations for additional resources/websites. The method has also highlighted were I need to focus on, including technical seo and website optimisation. This is a must read for any ecommerce business owner. Thanks Will Coombe for writing such a great book :)

Being the 1st SEO book I read I can't talk about it's thoroughness. What I can tell thought, is how well written it is, the author has a gift to explain tedious and cumbersome things and make them really ejoyable and understandable. Ahh, and he does overdeliver with all the videos where he walks you through all the referenced activities you need to perform to rank in Google and other search engines for that matter. I feel I have now a detailed picture of what SEO is and a detailed map of the tasks required.

I found this book easy to read and it offered a lot of practical SEO advice. It was great learning experience for me, as someone new to SEO.
