I’ve always wanted to build my own guitar especially a Les Paul. This kit is perfect for what I’ve always wanted. It does need fixes that can easily be done. The biggest issue I had was the neck fitting in order to get the perfect look you must cut the part of the neck at a slant to fit it to the body of the guitar. Another thing is that I suggest adding a neck plate to securely hold the neck and the body together as I do not trust glue to hold the two together.

I had high hopes for this DIY electric guitar kit, but unfortunately, the quality control was a major disappointment. Upon receiving the kit, I noticed several serious issues with the body:The veneer on the top of the body had been sanded through on one edge, which is impossible to fix without significant modification.There was a large gap in the seam near the pickups, which detracts from the overall look of the guitar.The edge of the veneer where it was cut had noticeable chipping, further adding to the frustration.Because of these defects, the only option I have now is to paint over the entire face, which wasn't the original plan. I expected better quality control for a kit at this price point, especially with such glaring issues.

So this is my second review of the same kit. So after I had problems with the veneer the seller was kind enough to offer me a small refund which was nice as they reached out to me. So trying to salvage this kit I decided to paint the guitar instead of staining only to find out that after putting a light stain on the back of the neck I saw that the neck is actually cracked rendering this whole guitar kit useless. Very sad experience as this kit was for someone else and now I need a complete new kit and I’ve now lost money. I hope others experiences are better than mine.
