I like to brew my coffee with a Melitta filter cone as I like to control the strength of the brew and don't drink enough to justify making a whole pot. This carafe is perfect as I can brew two cups at once and it keeps it hot for a few hours. You could probably brew four large cups of coffee in this carafe but I haven't tried it since it's more than I need. I preheat the carafe with hot water then brew the coffee. My second cup an hour later is as hot as the first cup and just a fresh. A perfect addition to my morning coffee ritual!The carafe and filter cone are well made and should last for many years.

Bought for a Christmas gift, to supplement our coffee habit when we didn't want to make a whole second pot. Brews beautifully. Coffee tastes full-bodied and vibrant, stays very hot in the carafe, and I thought this was an amazing value. It brews a full 32oz in under 10 minutes, and the carafe keeps it toasty until we're ready for the last cup.

This is amazing. It holds just the right amount of coffee for 2-3 people and keeps it warm. Very easy to clean, and it's really nice to look at!

For several years we've brewed our own coffee with the Melitta filters and their carafe. However, the plastic tab used to pour on the older carafe broke. We liked the system enough to order a new carafe, however, we discovered that Melitta has produced a new version of the carafe which I ordered. Once it arrived, we found that the new pour mechanism works far better than the older model, producing a smooth, strong, drip-free stream of coffee into our cups. The new carafe also keeps our coffee hot for quite a long time. The only reason I dropped a star on the rating is because the new carafe is slightly smaller than the old version. When one uses a full standard electric kettle of 1.7 liters (max) it overfills this carafe. The older carafe accepted the full 1.7 liters of coffee. Even though slightly smaller, I would order it again as the pour quality and heat retention is excellent. Just have to drink less coffee.

Matches our Aroma Electric Kettle (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08NCY1YFK?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title) perfectly and insulates beverages for 2-3 hours well.Purchased this based on our happiness with Melitta products in the past (although we use Bunn exclusively for auto-drip), and use it at least 2-3 times a day.Hand Cleans well and doesn't really need an automatic dishwasher cycle. We just rinse the pour over top, pot and lid and it stays neat.The #6 pour over top doesn't lock down and is easily removed. The sealed lid snaps on top and has a trigger to open the pour spout.One complaint I had was that when the pot is near empty, the pour was a bit messy since the liquid would escape around the spout as you tilted to pot to pour. After a while it came to my notice that the pot acts almost pressurized and if you hold the trigger open and pour slower, the spout contains the liquid well until empty. Crazy but it works.Ultimately, it's a bit pricey for what it is, an insolated pot with a plastic top and lid. At $50 it's too high. The quality and capability is more in line with a $29 price tag...

I have been using this Melitta Pour-over Coffee Brewer daily for over 5 months. It is well made and of sturdy construction but there are a couple of design elements that I do not care for. First, the interior of the carafe stained with the first use. It took on a blue and gold color hue that has never gone away (from heat?). With repeated daily use making coffee, the interior of the carafe has continued to discolor with coffee stains. These stains do not diminish with regular daily scrubbing or with a vinegar wash or commercial descaler. Furthermore, the opening of the carafe is too small to fit a woman's hand through and you need to use a long handled dish brush scrubber to reach all parts of the interior. I have a water softener installed on our water line to the house so our water tests as "soft" on water tests. Another problem is the carafe lid. It is very sturdy and will not break but it is difficult to clean. I have been hand washing it and water is trapped inside the lid and you really have to work at it to shake all of the water out after washing. I think this a useful product that could be improved with some design changes and wonder what could be improved to prevent staining on the interior of carafe.

Easy to use and keeps coffee hot for a good long while. Easy to wash and the stainless steel doesn't pick up lots of fingerprints and smudges.
