This dongle actually doubled my Internet speed. I don't know internally how my router works or how the broadband company set it up, but the broadband company gives 1GB. I think this is limited though to roughly 250MB per connection. So with 2 WiFi connections, one built into my laptop and the other with this TP-Link dongle, my Internet is doubled and it feels so much faster loading or download large files. The only criticism I have for this is that the instructions were a little unclear. The instructions say to connect the dongle, open the containing folder, and run the installer. It then says to connect the dongle, which I thought meant to connect the dongle to my inbuilt WiFi. But it actually means to connect the dongle to your router. When the dongle is set up, one will see "WiFi 2" (see pic) in their network settings or in the WiFi settings in the taskbar (see pic). This is the connection where one needs to connect to their router for the TP-Link dongle to work. You will need the password for this, as Windows 11 doesn't seem smart enough to know one is connecting to the same network with the same password on a different WiFi connection.

Seems pretty good so far. On my Internet connection with this adapter I'm getting 7ms latency and 360 mbps down and 60 mbps up on 5ghz. That's near bang on my advertised speeds. On my Windows 10 pc it was plug and play but speeds were capped to around 150mbps until you install the drivers on the disc provided.

Raised the bar from 250mbps to 805 mbps for the pc in my study! - I did use a USB 3.0 extention lead to the door so the dongle pointed directly at the router with no obstruction to obtain this speed.

Really disappointed with this product as TP-Link are normally so good. It constantly disconnects from my computer causing video calls to drop out. Had to buy an alternative product in the end. When it does connect it has a pretty low upload latency. Would avoid.

Really good adapter I’m getting the exact speeds my package is meant to come with. Plugs into the Blue USB port and it was easy to get it running. Good, stable speeds.

Great product. I play overwatch. Unreal tournament. Online. Changing from 15m hard cable to this wifi device on usb3. I feel I have not lost any performance at all. Arrived promptly in excellent condition and was easy to install. Great handy and fairly priced for its functional capacity. Now having had this particular product for about 11 months, here is the deal,,, IT switches off every 20 minutes at randow, it powers down and i have to keep resetting it, there are major problems and it has begun to display huge latency and write interruptions, faulty downloads and is no longer reliable,, although used thoroughly, for the last 3 months this item has steadily failed. its not even a year old.

Works great but not straight out of the box. I had to install some drivers as I was only getting 15mb/s at first. It also isnt brilliant on 5Ghz, my signal was very poor. On 2.4Ghz I get a very strong signal and excellent speed with no disconnections. Worth it if you have superfast internet but the documentation was poor.

Funciona a la primera y sin instalar nada. Gran estabilidad en la conexión y perfecto. Windows10. Compré uno hace 3 años, me ha funcionado siempre genial y he vuelto a comprar este otro cuando me he ido a la casa del pueblo.

Ho preso questo prodotto perché il mio notebook ha la scheda wifi danneggiata e prima di pensare alla spesa di un nuovo notebook ho voluto provare l'alternativa. Sono già fedelissima alla marca Tp-link perché già uso dei wifi repeater e mi sono sempre trovata benissimo, ma di questo prodotto davvero sono contenta. Installazione abbastanza facile, e cmq aiutata dalle istruzioni. L'ho configurato abbinandolo al mio router direttamente dal PC attaccato via LAN e accoppiato così. Di per sé funziona ed è anche molto stabile. Prende la rete 5ghz dal router che è in un'altra stanza separata da un ulteriore stanzino (quindi due pareti) ed è anche molto stabile. Purtroppo non la sfrutto a pieno perché il notebook non è più performante quindi ogni tanto si blocca e per fare ripartire la chiavetta devo riavviare il PC (colpa del PC). L'ho infatti attaccata a un mini PC che ho e lì nn ho riscontrato nessun problema. Direi quindi che sono pienamente soddisfatta ma quasi non avevo dubbi con questa marca. Lo consiglio!

The product was easy to install, I simply followed the instructions. The signal is great, however in the past few weeks my internet has randomly been cutting out. It's only happening to me in my house, so it has to be this. Unfortunate, especially as I don't have any option but to use it.
