Great price point good name in brakes..
Decent for the money. Very good name in the brake world. Ideal being a twin pot, and has plenty of length for a rear brake. Fitted on a jump bike. Be aware and please check and keep an eye out on the pin holding the lever in, as it tried to fall out on occasions.

The break itself isn’t that bad BUT
The handle itself is terrible and snapped on me then sliced my fingers on where it had snapped because it snapped whilst I was out. THE BIGGEST DRAMA OF ALL THE BREAKS OUT THERE TO BLEED HAVE TO BUY A FULL KIT AND STILL HAS YOUR LIFE MOST BIKE SHOPS WONT TOUCH THESE. ALSO THE BREAK PADS ARE SHOCKING LITERALLY WEAR DOWN SO FAST AND THEN WHEN THEY ARE LOW ENOUGH TJEY JUST FALL OUT OF THE CALIPER AND LEAVE YOU WITH NO BREAKS AT ALL, WAS VERY DANGEROUS, buy the upgraded pads with the bolt that holds the pads in place. SO DECENT PRODUCT IF YOUR VERY VERY CAREFUL and change the pads straight away but I wouldn’t really recommend it mine broke after a week and I got so mad I never bothered even saying anything

Brake lever exploded on bleeding the brake
On bleeding the brakes following the magura video online the brake lever master cylinder exploded sending brake fluid all. Over my bike and garage fuming.... Waiting on a solution from amazon

Amazing brakes.
These truly are amazing brakes for the price paid. The levers come in for some criticism as being plasticky and a bit flexy. I would certainly agree so I “cheated” and fitted Shimano levers instead and sold the Maguras....Now I have awesome brakes with 4 pot callipers but using more adjustable and easily bled levers. Will buy more when back in stock and modify again for the other bike.

Blessed be the true teachers. They save us many blunders. I put some MT 5's on the front. These were for the Rear, routed internally. All was well - plugged top end, w/ cylinder/ lever at highest point and pulled new hose through bottom, piggybacking old line being removed. Standard game. Unplug, trim excess, install compression nut, olive and insert and lost near zero inserting into the upper end into the master. Then I notice the banjo's facing the wrong direction. Okay, raise bike where caliper's highest (do not do this) and loosened the banjo's bolt, rotating the fitting 90degrees. While the fitting is now pointed perfectly (no matter what you think, do not do this) before I could shut it, a good deal of fluid simply gushed out onto my rag. It wouldn't bleed out by any 'easy methods' either. Finally I found an old vid by a guy that was as a rep for Magura - for MT 6's or some other ancient single pot stuff. I did what he said and it produced better feel than my front MT 5 does. Unlike the MT 6's, the MT 5's and 7's DO have a threaded port and typical brake kits have that fitting. I also found w/ our modern MT's there's no need to remove the pads, but the caliper needs to be hanging loose, off the frame. I also 'tapped' on and moved the upper end around a bit. That produced some bubbles, so it's confirmed as part of me method. Remounted calipers while clamping on a blade spacer and burned these babies in. Impressed. Highly recommended performance. No issues.
