wooDsom Powerful Magnetic Knife Strip, Holder Made in USA (Cherry, 18 inches)

Not sure what happened with anyone who claims to have had issues with the magnets in this holder. I bought two of these and both have VERY strong magnets. As you can see in the image it easily holds a heavy cleaver, handle down, without any issues. The sharpener is the only piece of the knife set in the image that isn't held in place extremely well, but it still works well enough. The magnets are so strong that I had to remount the top block to make it more secure against the wall. When I would pull the cleaver loose the pull between the block and cleaver was strong enough that it would rock the block on the wall. I washed both of these wooden blocks before mounting and then oiled both with cutting board oil. Based on at least one of the previous reviews I will oil these periodically to try to keep them from drying out and splitting. Also based on some of the reviews I left a little of the screw plugs sticking out from the block so I could remove them if needed, which helped when I need to remount the top block.I was a little disappointed that the color variation is pretty significant between two the same items. You can see the difference in the image, that is the color difference, that is not a lighting issue. There was also no attempt to match the color of the screw plugs to the color of the blocks, as you can also see in the image. However, ultimately neither of those imperfections are the end of the world for me.There were definitely cheaper alternatives, but based on my experience so far I would definitely recommend these blocks to anyone looking for a wall knife hanger.

After 25 years and multiple moves, my workmanlike knife magnets were due to be replaced. I searched hard for a replacement that was equal parts strong and beautiful. This strong and handsome walnut version more than does the trick. I worried that my large collection of knives would need Woodsom's double-magnet version, but the single magnet strip holds all 17 knives--chef's, santoku, cleaver, serrated, paring, and more--with no slippage at all. This product is as beautiful as it is practical. I highly recommend it.

Expensive but beautiful and super strong magnets

Lovely knife rack, strong magnets, we have never had anything fall off. Super easy to install and a wonderful addition to our kitchen!

Easy to install, looks great and holds my heavy knives.

The media could not be loaded.  Super pleased with us knife holder, it has been up for two years and we’ve had no issues despite it being Epoxy bonded to the tile, I did not use nails or screws. Love having my favorite Global knives accessible and on display. I sold my chunky knife block when I purchased this, best move ever!Pro tip, if you want to use Epoxy to bond to the tile, make sure to let it cure a full 24-36 hours before putting any knives on it. I used masking tape to secure it while the epoxy hardened over a full day.

High quality, beautiful wood. It looks great with out cabinets. The knives and other utinsils are held securely in place. We got the 24" version and it holds a couple knife sets and several utinsils. It was easy to install and overall it is a well made piece.

I had no problem hanging this by myself, and I even somehow managed to place it right over a stud. Instructions and screws, and anchors worked perfectly. The magnet is very strong, and even though I only hang my most used five knives, I hung five more things on it for the photo to show how much this holds. Naturally, be aware that the magnet near the screws will not be as strong as the rest of the piece, so order the size/length accordingly. I ordered the 20-inch one, and you can see that maybe I have an inch or more, all the way to the end, to hang more knives. In other words, the magnet does work all the way to the very ends of the piece. Beautiful and functional

This knife bar is very nice. Dark walnut stain. I was hoping to place my knifes horizontally but the magnet isn't strong enough for that. It works well with the knifes vertically hung.

This thing is really lovely, sturdy, with a powerful magnet. It is the best-looking one I've ever seen.

I put a lot of consideration into the design and function of my new kitchen. It is smallish and every space is important. I love the knife strip, it holds a variety of amazing knives that also took me forever to decide upon. This strip not only functional and holds 6 large knives, very well. This strip is a great addition to my kitchen!

I already had a knife board from years ago but now that I have over 20 knives need a second. This new strip does not have the adhesion of my 10 year old one. The older strip is mounted vertically so that my knives are horizontal , if you try to mount knifes the same on this strip they will not remain in position but slip to a 45 degree angle. So relative the my 10 year one, from another company, this new one is only half as magnetic .
