I used the military approved bellevilles when we first got the crappy ACU uniforms
I needed new duty boots for work since my oakley boots are on their last leg. I used the military approved bellevilles when we first got the crappy ACU uniforms. I still have my issued bellevilles, which have lasted me almost 10yrs (of course i take care of my equipment). Since i saw these khyber boots, i figured i would try them. I always wear a 10.5 wide boot, and firgured i would order a 10.5 wide without trying them on. When i got them in the mail, and put them on, they are true to fit 10.5 wide. Im confident enough to say if you have worn military issued boots, and you wear a particular size, these boots will fit. I have worn boots since i joined thet army back in 2003, and im loyal to the altama jungle boots, danners (if you can afford the arcadias) and belleville. These boots aret really comfortable right out of the box. People who are complaining about these boots obviously have never worn those terrible boots they issue in basic training...they take about 6 months to break in. I think these boots are really comfortably and so far i have no complaints. I have only worn them about for about two hours around the house, thinking i would need to break them in, but thats not the case. I will update my review when i have put them through some abuse at work. I would recommend these to anyone who is looking for a comfortable boot. I can't speak for their durability yet, but im amazed how comfortable they are right out of the box. I will update with how durable they aee at a much later date.

So far so good. They are fairly warm in 20 degrees if ...
Size 12. 2 weeks, about 10 miles of walking in them. So far so good. They are fairly warm in 20 degrees if you have on smartwool socks(I don't recommend wearing any serious boot with thin socks). They're not designed as a winter boot nd do not have a waterproof lining such as GORETEX. Despite this, when I wore them in 2 different downpoors i'd describe as medium, my feet were dry with no problem. VIBRAM sole seams durable, time will tell. Most of my walking is on concrete. Leather surely needed a break in period. Specifically around the ankles. When I first get them, because the leather was fresh, it was stiff nd ridgid nd bit into my ankles like a pit bull if I laced them up tight in that area. I almost was about to return them cause of it. Instead I decided to just loosen that area a little when I lace em up nd give it time. Within 3-4 days of walking 2-3 miles each day, they were broken in nd I could lace them up fully. Quick Tip: (Boot companies use different foot templates for cutting they're boot. Hence, a size 12 pair of boots from Saloman fits smaller or different than a size 12 pair from Lowa.) As I said, so far so good. Nd I do plan to get the Coyote Tan pair for off-duty, summer wear. Hope this review helped you in making a decision. P.S: The Danner Tachyon boots suck!

They are light and comfortable
Very light and comfortable. Fits good and constructed well. These should last me years. I walk, run, jump, climb all kinds of things and places. I wear these boots for about 11 hours a day minimum and they check all the boxes. I know this going to sound petty but I dropped a star for looks. The top of the boot has a big gap at the laces. I'm an 11 regular but because of the appearance of the gap at the top where the laces would normally bring the sides of the boot together and don't, it looks like I have really fat feet and squeezed them in a small boot. Lame I know but it's unattractive.

Amazing durability and quality
I have been the Khyber series boots for years now and I love them. I think I am on about 10 pairs now between the military and my civilian job. cannot complain about the quality. These boots come in several different colors ranging from black to coyote brown. I was wearing a pair of these boots when I got into my motorcycle accident 2 years ago and the boots held up great they protected my foot and ankle like boots are suppose to do. The only thing that really happened to these boots was some of the stitching burned off and the boot laces burnt away with a little bit of damage to the boot lace grommets. I still use the boots for ridding today and will continue to use them. All in all these boots do a very good job in protecting your feet and the durability is amazing. I wish I had the money to have like 4 brand new pairs of these boots in my closet at all times.

Great
Great boots for duty. No more Shine Box! Windex or Tire Shine makes them look like mirrors. 5 days a week on 8 hour shifts these things not only look like new money but are comfortable and durable. My last pair of them I tossed after about 11 months. Which is incredible when you are on your feet so long. What was surprising is my Danners only lasted 6 months before the soles pealed off. $100 for a pair of boots that are not only comfortable for a year but also give you that squared away, professional look is well worth it. Also note these are not that cheap patent leather shoes like you wore popping zits on the way to prom.

Great boots
I have worn these boots as duty for a little over a year now. I am always on my feet. My TRs have been the best duty boot I've worn in over 30 years. Comfortable, great fit, rugged. Running in these boots is like wearing tennis shoes. Clunky big boots are not my thing. If you have to respond to a back up call you want to move and maneuver quickly. A buddy of mine has worn his for over three years. I've worn them in winter and summer and have no complaints. You CANNOT beat Vibram soles. If you are looking for an excellent duty boot or a great boot to wear around, these are it!

Good Boot!
Great boot so far. Had them 8 months now. Size 12 wide. Mechanic here and I walk on them all day no problem they’re light and lots of traction easily to kneel down and doesn’t bind or cramp your toes I highly recommend. I saw all the other negative reviews and my 2¢ is you guys got pairs of defective boots but I understand, mine are actually great. Either I was lucky or the people that wrote the negative reviews were just unlucky BUT I agree they need to be made here at home in the USA. Thanks everyone!
