Demineralizer for all Gravity Feed Hanging Bottle Steam Irons (Inline Cartridge)

I've had a gravity iron for a few years, and have used the granular blue demineralizer that comes in bags, because that's all there was. I happened across this the other day and immediately ordered, since I was about ready to order the other stuff.This is SO much easier to use than the grains. Once you clean out your water tank, you'll never have to clean it out again, because the grains are in the in-line filter, not in the tank. I had no trouble attaching it, and since there was still water in my tube, I didn't have any of the spitting water problems others have mentioned. It just worked beautifully. I steamed for a while after I put it on, just in case, and I can see that there is water in the filter, and it's still working smoothly. Get this, not the other.

You need to use this to prevent mineral scale build-up in your gravity fed iron. Very easy to use andreplace. Lasts about a year.

I purchased the Sapporo Demineralizer as a replacement for the original Inline Cartridge Demineralizer for my Consew Gravity Feed Hanging Bottle Steam Iron, a bit concerned whether it would work properly. I'm glad to report that it is performing perfectly after more than a year in service. As yet, there is no discoloration of the crystals inside the Sapporo Demineralizer. I'm satisfied with the purchase, and will do so again.

have had gravity fed irons in the past and neglected to use a demineralizer (my own fault). This time around, decided that I am going to follow the directions and see my latest purchase lasts longer... so far, very impressed. A demineralizer came with the iron and while it was suppose to last for a few weeks, mine was ready to be replaced within a week due to all the minerals in our water. I ordered this second one and this time around, I used filtered water-- still is changing colors as I use it, but definitely not at the rate as the previous demineralizer. Very happy with this product and very easy to use.

I have a gravity feed iron for quilting. I love it. This must have product keeps it steaming through gallons of hard water. Repeat.purrchaser.

Works well for my gravity iron. I have used it past its prime which is when I am supposed to change the cartridge because the color of the demineralizer has changed. I buy one every 9-12 months.
