Mikasa 8-1/2 Inch Four Square Playground Ball, Neon Orange, 8.5" - Diameter

I lived elementary school yearssssssss ago as a student, but I returned as teacher in 2018. You best believe that the first PE game I taught my fifth graders was foursquare. This generation of students had no idea what foursquare was but knew it had to do with a ball. I explained that the painted four square playing grid out on the playground was where you play and they were surprised. I taught them how to play with a basketball, soccer ball, and of course the giant red kickball, everything but a four square ball.When I moved schools three years later, my new batch of kids still didn’t know what foursquare was🤦🏻‍♀️, however I was blessed with a grant that allowed me to buy equipment and supplies for my class and I of course went and bought this official foursquare ball and it was a major hit!This is the first ball to leave my classroom, it has allowed my students to become better players, so much so that they actually give me a run for my money. This ball has had eight months of hard labor with my fifth grade students, and has been hit, kicked, and thrown and still survived the school year. Haven’t had to blow it up since the initial time I got it. Such a great ball at a great price!

I was able to purchase this as a pair of green and red from Top 10 sports for only $9.95.They are perfectly round and very durable.While they are not "super" bouncy they bounce well enough will probably last for years. The surface has an easy grip so anybody can play with these.I played catch with my four year old grand-daughter for about 15 minutes andshe was able to learn to catch it quickly and had began to throw it properlyand easily.These kids need to be able to have confidence in themselves and activitieslike these help them acquire that confidence.I took one of them to work and one of my associates' sons, who is almost two, was able to learn to throw it properly within a couple of minutes. He is better with using his legs so I was able to get him to kick it at a goal. Within a half hour he was getting the ball into the goal every time. And yes he was able to stand up while he kicked and not fall down.The price was very competitive and they are durable enough for all kinds of games.

Had this for a couple of years now and it looks brand new. Top it off with air once in a while, just like any other ball. We kick it, play catch, and even shoot basketball hoops with it. Texture is a great rubbery-tacky surface, so very easy to catch. Orange makes it easy to find on the playground when we're heading home.

We got this ball for our son's birthday at the end of February, and it's already got a huge crack in it and had to be tossed. NOT worth $13! We thought we were getting a ball that would last a couple of years, and it hasn't even made it 3 months. Don't waste your money.

It’s just a classic bouncing ball for my 4-year-old. It’s actually a bit too big for her hands but doesn’t affect our pleasure to play with it. The surface material is soft and very bouncy after inflate it. No complaints and believe this ball will last for many year.

not as good as the red or green, both softer feel and great catching or throwingthis one is firmer than red or green; as with the lime ball made in Thailand & the Malaysia made rubber 4 square balls are softer feel including yellow.

We played 4 square a few times with this ball and it was great. Then, we went to play again and it was flat. Tried to inflate and it had numerous leaks -- not holes, but just cracking everywhere. Apparently it is not too resistant to "dry rot" (UV, ozone, oxidation). If I get another one I'll be sure to store it in a plastic bag.

The ball is fine. Perfectly round and inflated upon arrival. Don't let the story's about the "weird shaped" balls scare you. As for the reviews about the ball popping, it's a soft bouncy plastic ball. It's not indestructible...and at some point wear & tear is going to get the best of it just like anything else. You'd really have to abuse it, sit/stand on it or over inflate it for it to pop otherwise. It's well made & just as expected.
