I picked this up to grapple dead fall out of my pond. I haven't had a chance to use it yet but it should work perfectly, based on it's aggressive design.

Very solidly built. I was actually surprised! Does exactly what it says it does. The rope isn't super strong, but that's not why I wanted it anyway so I don't care.

our dock ladder fell into the lake (appx 20ft deep) and we ordered this in an attempt to retrieve it. It took 3 casts to find it, but we rescued the ladder, a couple of our neighbors' chairs, their cooler, a hammer, and a speed square.

It rusts easily after the firs use, and probably because it is not heavy, it doesn't hold the boat to a sandy bottom. It comes with a very long rope that lets you tie your bote no matter how deep the sea is

Seems sturdy. I haven't used it yet. I do know that it's definitely NOT stainless. It's maybe galvanized or something, but definitely not stainless.

A little heavier than I thought it might be, but it seems to be decent quality.

Heavy duty stainless steel grappler. Very pleased with how easy it is to use.
