elho Barcelona Trough 40 - Plastic Planter for Balcony & Outdoor - 40cm x H 16.0 cm, 8 liter volume, Pistachio Green

I have quite a lot of Elho products in the garden, they're bright, bold and add a splash of colour during the months when flowers struggle to grow. Despite the low price tag the quality is very good and the plastic is thick enough not to distort when full of soil and planted and although they will fade if left outside year round the colour softens evenly and if you didn't know what colour they started off as you'd never know the difference....I have left several of their products outside for 3 years now and am still very happy with the condition. Now on to this specific planter...it's a lovely classic bright cherry red and measures 50 cm long, 19.5 cm high and 15.6 cm deep although the internal dimensions are smaller. It takes 10 litres of soil, which is quite a useful volume for the size of the trough. You can buy the matching saucer along with brackets if you want to use it as a hanging planter but I'm just using it as a trough on the ground. You need to drill drainage holes in the base, as it's not pre-drilled. These products are very hard to source in the UK so I'm very pleased I can continue to buy them from Amazon who ship from Europe (presumably because Elho is a Dutch company) and still manage to offer them for sale at a great price!

I have found the Elho products to be excellent in general and this is no exception. It is relatively cheap, (great value for money in my opinion), and yet is really solid and well made and adds a lovely splash of colour to our bedroom. There is a great choice of colours - you've be able to find one to match almost any colour scheme! As is stated, it is 50cm long and is approx 15.5cm high and 19cm deep. It has 2 drainage holes in the bottom. I don't think there's much else to really add about this item. It's lovely, a little unusual...and I like it so much that I'm getting another! Recommended.

I was looking for something cheap and cheerful to fill a corner of my balcony, and these were just what I was looking for. Granted, I still think the price for garden bits and bobs is ridiculous. It's a piece of plastic! But, compared to others, these were a bit of a bargain, at a shade over £6.

The item looks sturdy but does not come with a tray, so you will have to find your own tray for the water to drain out. In one photo, the item appears with a tray. Misleading & would not buy again

Ich habe die Kästen in der Größe "40 anthrazit" gekauft. Die Maße sind: oben 40x19,5 unten 30x12 Höhe 15,5 Die Verarbeitung ist gut. Das Material schön stabil. Das Ablaufsystem gefällt mir gut, weil die Pflanzen dadurch nicht in der Staunässe stehen. (Naja, "System" ist ein bisschen zu hoch gegriffen. Eigentlich sind es nur zwei nach oben gezogene Ablauflöcher...) Die Kästen sind schön schlicht ohne irgendwelchen Schnickschnack. Auch das Anthrazit gefällt mir. Dazu der hervorragende Preis. Alles TOP.
