This is a weird part to my lawnmower, hard to find elsewhere but easy to order from Amazon

Before I bought this, if there was dew on the grass or it had rained, my mulching mower would turn the cut grass into green mud and the blade would unbalance and start shaking the mower. Finally the blade would jam inside with this "green mud" and I'd have to free it and re-start the engine. Aggravating. This chute fits on easily to my mower and now when it's wet I can put the chute on and the grass flies out the side and there's no problems. When it's dry I can take it off and get the advantages of a mulch mower.

I can't believe my life has come to this--writing a review for a side-discharge doober. Anyway, Toro must have shipped a million of these mediocre mulching mowers which, if the grass you are cutting has even a trace of moisture, just captures the grass inside the lower deck and rolls it around and makes it stick, all the while you are trailing clods of grass into your yard while your engine strains and the RPMs dip. (The Kohler engine, however, is pretty good.) Don't waste time trying to increase engine RPM a few hundred to get around the grass clumping/engine straining problem. Cut to the chase and install one of these. Your life will be better. You'll thank me. You'll bless me. You'll also have to modify your cutting style some to accommodate this protruding gizmo that was not there before.

While mowing my wife destroyed my original part, this one installs easily and does the job.

So glad i bought this. My Toro did not come with a chute!! Was propping the discharge chute door open with a paint stick, which was just OK. Finally got the real thing and it works great! I like using the chute vs mowing with mulch function since with the chute the underside of the deck doesn’t clog up with grass. The chute is very sturdy and well made.

easy to install and works like a champ

Lost the side discharge chute that came with the mower… dropped off somewhere underneath one of the huge bushes I was mowing around…. I’ll find it when all the foliage falls. Was very difficult to mow without a chute! This chute fits perfectly, and stays on … so far.
