I don't use shortening much if I can help it, but I did use this instead of butter in a pie crust. Best, flakiest crust I have ever made (I am a master at tough crusts), and if that were the only thing I were to use this product for I'd be happy.

Excellent. This coconut "shortening" is the perfect replacement for Canola or olive oil when a taste of butter is needed. I saute zucchini noodles in this healthy blend. I still a teaspoon of it in mac and cheese for the grandkids - great smooth texture!

Using in place of Crisco shortening; have not seen any difference in the results. Biggest difference is the price; Nutiva is pretty expensive, considering it's just shortening. If you're looking at health reasons, then it's almost worth the price.

Love this - use it like butter. Melts super easy and makes great recipes. I whipped up an AIP compliant (if Honey allowed on yours) ganache using this melted with raw organic honey and unsweetened cocoa powder. Will buy again.

Favorite cooking oil. Coconut and Red Palm Oil is solid so is not apt to collect free radicals as does liquid oil. Tasteless and much better in taste and for your health than the standard shortening.

This is a wonderful substitute for regular shortening, much healthier and it tastes great and smells good too unlike regular shortening. I will never go back to regular shortening again.

Stays as shortening when it gets hot, so a great alternative to coconut oil. Plus minimal flavor. Great product. On my 4th one.
