cooling and discrete
Absolutely love this fan! I was hesitant to buy this item because my room is so hot and i needed something that would actually cool it off while being more discrete than a window unit. i find that this item does actually cool my room off. its sleek in design and doesnt draw too much attention. there’s also a night time setting so all the lights go off at night. this was the most affordable option i could find and im truly pleased with it. i was able to get the fan ready and working within 30 minutes, and for the comfort it brings my family, its well worth the price i paid. i would buy it again and again, and will never choose another brand. super functional and so easy to install. double win!

Works well in very hot temperatures
I purchased this water cooled fan for my screened in patio, which always seems warmer than my yard (perhaps the aluminum roof thermally conducts the suns heat into the patio). It works well and cools the patio to a bearable temperature (I'm in Eastern Washington which is hot and semi-arid). I like the rotation and speed controls. The only downside is that to fill the water reservoir you pull out it out of the bottom of the fan unit, but you're limited in how far you can pull it out if you don't want to remove the pump and assorted lines, which are a pain to put back in place. The photo shows how far you can pull the reservoir out without disconnecting the lines.

Dreo Fan
I was under the impression that this would actually blow cold. It doesn't.

Great fan but not an air conditioner (it's an air cooler)
Before I purchased this fan I read a lot of the reviews and decided to give it a try as I own another fan by the same company and figured I would do a comparison. First,it is not an air conditioner unit it is an air cooler. The big question ,does it work. Short answer, yes. When I placed ice cold water along with the included ice packs(which aren't bad but there are better options) and lots of ice in the tank, the fan blew colder air than my other fan(which is just a fancy fan). The recommended use is in addition to an open windows or account vent but I've noticed that either way it still works as advertised. There are lower cost alternatives but this fan works. The only negatives are it's not wifi connected like my other fan and the hassle of refilling the tank. When refilling I just leave everything connected and pour everything in ,as disconnecting and reconnecting the hose is a pain.

Couldn't even get the base on...
Instructions for set up were entirely unhelpful. Once I put the base in wrong, I couldn't undo or fix it. I can't even box it up now to send it back.I followed the directions to set up this unit--to put the base on the tower of the air conditioner. Once it was attached, I have not been able to remove it, and it didn't attach correctly. It's a defect in the design of the product and in the directions, I believe. I cannot get the base off of the product without breaking it, so I cannot put this item back in the box to return it. I need help. How can I get my money back for this faulty product. I bought insureance with this item, and now, I have a brocken fan that I cannot use or send back. Please help.

Efficiency in mobile home depends on outside temps
It is not necessary to run the fan on the number four setting to be cooler. I found that running it on the number three setting is actually the coolest for me. It's quiet, the remote is small and works well, but wish buttons were lit, and assembly was pretty simple. It is mid-afternoon in Southern California and 94° in the shade. The unit is about 9 feet from me and the temp in the den is 75°. The den is open, not closed off by a wall, in a 1600sqft mobile home and is normally 79-80° prior to receiving the evaporative cooler. The rest of the home is 79°, or a little less,(keeping our electric company happy), and older mobile homes are difficult to cool. On 103° days it does not reach 75° in the den with the evaporative cooler, maybe 78°, but as it cools down outside, the temperature in the den will go to 77° after I add a little more ice to the bin. In a home with good insulation I think it would work well, especially if it's in a closed off room. My goal was just to be comfortable in the den with the evaporative cooler and I've reached that goal. It's quite nice to be sitting in 77-78° instead of 80°! Those 2-3° do make a difference. I don't use the included ice packs. I just add ice and water as needed, probably twice a day. Don't let your room get too hot before you turn your evaporative cooler on because it takes longer to cool off a hot room. I'm happy with the cooler. I'd buy another one if my ice maker could keep up with it. Lol! Good luck with yours!
