I've always used Tokonole and as long as it's still available, I likely still will. But adding Angelus Clear Burnishing Gum to my bench - I am definitely going through a lot less Tokonole.This product is very different and I think warrants keeping both around.Pros-Truly clear. Won't stain, smudge or otherwise impact the grain of your leather if it accidentally bleeds around your corners.Also being clear, it takes tinting with dye or paints very well. You can add just a couple drops of paint to tint a batch. This is extremely useful for burnishing edges with uncommon colors and not look like heavy edge paint.With or without color, it does a great job of burnishing edges on veg tan and even has produced some very solid results on chrome as well for me so far which was unexpected.Sets quickly to the 'tacky' stage where burnishing will give you the best result.A little can certainly go a long way as it's a very thin and viscous product.Some cons-Ok, so being as thin as it is, you're not going to get the same gap fill properties you do with Tokonole after one coat.This product is not as simple to work with to get the best possible results. I've found that one coat looks ok (and much better than an unfinished edge) but 3 coats is going to give an incredible looking edge every time.I don't like it for flesh side finishing. May be personal preference but I feel like Tokonole is much more efficient here with better results.Overall this stuff is really good and I will gladly use it where it's best suited, but personally just the ease with which it takes color would be enough for this to be a must have for me. Give it some time and you'll really be pleased with the results.

Easy to use, works great, can also be used to slick down the flesh side of the leather. The instructions say to sand the edge first but I got great results even without that step.

I'm fairly new to leather work. I was using water with the burning wheels and I bought this. The edges looks much better. I have used the burning wheel and I have also used my finger. Both work.

Follow the instructions and the end result will be very good.

It works very well and creates a nice finish on the edges. This was a good buy. It is very easy to apply.
