This is my first time ordering live plants on Amazon and I am very happy with the health and freshness of the lemongrass stalks. They arrived quickly and are wrapped in wet paper towels and covered in cellaphane. They come with very thorough instructions for planting and care. I will plant them today and if I have any problems I will come back and update my review but so far so good! *UPDATE* - We followed instructions and planted them a few weeks ago. They're thriving and look healthy even in the Florida heat!

I like lemongrass for cooking and oil infusions. I received the plants in excellent shape, but I didn’t have time to plant them for a week. I kept them damp in the packaging, cursing myself for not paying attention to the delivery date. The plants survived! When I planted them, the instructions were very helpful. The plants take about four months to mature. I already have growth from the roots, after about a month. Very impressed! I will buy again, if I need to. I did not buy as a mosquito repellent, but I have used lemongrass oil for deterring mosquitoes while camping.

I love Southeast Asian cooking. This lemongrass works very well for that. I started five stalks indoors, in March, in Zone 7. By the end of the season, I had more lemongrass than I knew what to do with. I only dug it up and divided it twice and I had two 25-gallon pots overflowing with lemongrass. I ate plenty and gave a lot away. I’ve pulled 20 stalks to overwinter indoors, but the stalks I left outdoors are still producing in the middle of November. I would suggest planting the stalks in a place that gets full hot sun, so the plants will produce the essential oils that give it its flavor. The late season stalks were definitely tastier.

These sprout roots and grow very easily. The stalks will eventually multiply, so it keeps making new stalks as long as it gets sun, water, nutrients, etc. I grow them in a pot, so I can bring them inside for the winter months. I like to make Thai food, so having some lemongrass on hand is key. Unfortunately, I live in a rural community where you never see lemongrass in the grocery store. Would have to drive 2+ hours to find an oriental grocery store.

The lemongrass arrived sooner than expected. Very healthy stalks. The smell is amazing! I've bought lemongrass from other sellers in the past they didn't look nor smell as good as these do. Worth the money! I'd definitely recommend this company! Very Happy!

Original batch did not do so well. Company replaced and next batch did well.

One star because one survived. They were all brown but the instructions said the color doesnt matter they will grow. They are not growing. Just one.
