We've been using this projector for the past several days and we love it! We were looking for a replacement for an older portable projector we'd been using outdoors and wanted something brighter and with more features. This projector is exactly what we were looking for. We've used it outside at night and also tested it indoors during the day and were amazed at how bright and clear the picture ways, even in daylight! Below are some of our favorite features: 1. The autofocus and auto keystone correction are such a time saver! We had to do this manually with our previous projector which would take several minutes just to get set up so that we could watch something. This takes out all that hassle and does both perfectly and automatically in just seconds. 2. There are plenty of built in apps and many more to choose from! We have a separate firestick that we had to hook up to our old projector to watch anything and with this projector, many times that's not even needed. We did hook the firestick up just to test it out and it was plug and play and so simple to do. 3. The picture is amazing! It is crisper and brighter than our other normal TV's that we have in the house. I was amazed at just how clear it was the first time we used it. It's bright enough where you can use it indoors during the day as well. We happen to have a Bluetooth surround sound system that we connect too which we were able to do with ease. We tested the built in audio first and were quite surprised at how loud and clear it was. Even if you don't have separate speakers, you can get pretty decent audio quality with the built in sound. All in all I would highly recommend this projector!

I've been using the K9 projector daily for one month! I purchased a floating shelf to have the projector over my beds headboard projecting to the opposite wall (no screen). Image quality is insane and the picture is bright so that I can use it during the day with the blinds closed. I've had many other projectors and this one beats them all! These are the features that were really big for me: #1 Auto Focus + Keystone - I've had other projectors that had this similar feature, but they don't always work perfectly. Expecting the same results with this projector, I was really surprised because this projector is almost flawless and does not error out like my past projectors. #2 Fan noise - This one is HUGE! The old projector was really loud and actually made my bedroom HOT. You can still hear the fan noise with the K9, but it is not noticeable while watching a show (I usually keep my volume at 10). ALSO I would watch shows/movies and have the projector running for over 3 hours and my room stays cool! #3 Tilting mechanism - I think this is overlooked, but this is a big feature for me. With my old projector, I had to find things to prop under the device to tilt the projection higher. With this projector I no longer need to search around for books and notepads haha. Now here are some other features of the projector that are awesome: #1 Netflix/other streaming platforms - The K9 has integrated streaming platforms so I don't need to hook up another device to watch shows. I love this feature because it makes navigation a lot smoother and less buffering. #2 Dolby Audio - The sound quality on this thing is crazy! Make sure to go into settings and enable it because it makes a HUGE difference.

I recently purchased a projector on Amazon, and after using it for a week, I'm thrilled to share my positive experience with it. Great little projector. Lightweight and easily portable. High quality images and bright enough to show in a dimly lit room. Plenty of connection options like HDMI and USB as well as built in services. The ONLY downside for me is that there are no physical controls. Without the remote, it’s just a paperweight unless you connect it to a computer with an hdmi cable, then it SONETIMES auto switches. It’d be great just to have a built in direction pad with enter and back buttons to control connections, etc. Maybe in the next iteration?

I’ve been using this projector for a little over a week and my kids and I are loving it! This is not my first Wimius. I’ve tried many other projectors, but I keep coming back to Wimius. With this projector, I just project onto the white painted wall (about an 8 ft diagonal after I shrink it, 10 feet away), instead of a projector screen. The pictures and video in this review were taken during the daytime, so it wasn’t as dark as it could have been, but the picture looks great even with the lights on. Of course, like any projector, it looks better in a darker environment. One thing that really stands out for this projector is the focus of the text in all corners of the picture. Other projectors really struggle with this if there is any keystoning – text will only focus in one corner. But this projector has crisp focus everywhere even with a heavy keystone and zoom. I initially used the auto focus and auto keystone correction, but the space I was projecting onto was too small and had some obstructions. So, I just used the manual digital picture size/shape/focus via the remote and it works great. For the sound, it is much louder (thank you!) than some of my other projectors, even previous Wimius projectors. We have had trouble in the past filling the room with the audio without having to connect it to a soundbar or external speakers. But this one fills the room just fine. In the pictures I still have a soundbar behind it from the previous projector setup, but we don’t need it for this one. There is essentially no fan noise noticeable when watching movies and playing games. For peripherals, we only connect our Nintendo Switch to it. But because the projector has Netflix and YouTube natively, we don't need to connect an Apple TV. There is also the option to install other apps, like DisneyPlus, but they are not as functional as the native apps. So glad we got this projector! I might get another one for a wedding gift coming up.

The good: Great price, fast delivery, easy set up, great picture, auto keystone and auto focus great, Bluetooth connection good. The screen size from about 12 feet is around 4 feet by 8 feet on the wall. The bad: USB inputs are limited to specific formats no larger than 64GB so no large storage device will work. Provided HDMI cable is pretty short. WiFi is wonky- after 45 minutes it dropped my connection in favor of an unsecured soundbar a neighbor has and I have to reconnect and 'ignore' the neighbors device but it won't ignore it. This happens often. The sound is just okay so for movies I'll probably use headphones or a soundbar. Screencast and HomeShare option did not find the device so no cast option, only by cable. First projector I've ever owned so I don't know if these issues are worth the price paid, but the actual image on my wall is equivalent to a 100 inch HDTV so I'm satisfied for now. I need a soundbar and a better HDMI cable, but overall I'm satisfied for the low price. I know the WiFi and screenshare problems could be a software update away so I'll be patient. Update 3.20.25- Wimius graciously offered me a full refund after this review but I declined. I thought the price was more than fair for what I had, despite its flaws. I've used this machine daily since purchase and here's the update: Still a great picture but if left on, suffers pretty bad screen burn which lasts 30 mins or so. WiFi wonkiness was solved by one of the updates, no issues now. Still have not tried a soundbar but sound has no issues. No change to storage and file type limitations. Still not sure what file types work and which don't. I don't recommend this product for US customers. The onboard apps are European, East Asian in origin, nothing you've heard of other than Netflix, Youtube and Amazon Prime. Other than those you have apps like TikiLive, DocuBay, Toon Goggles, and on the app store, TrillerTV, Electric Now, etc. Today. the Youtube app stopped working. It says its directing me to the website but never does, and says to update the app. There is no way to update a native app so, no more Youtube unless I use the weird browser, which also is not able to update as its an old browser. Now I have no functionality of two of the main apps and no way to update them. It seems only a matter of time before I lose Amazon Prime. This TV worked well for around 9 months and I got my money's worth, but I don't recommend it any longer. I'll limp along for a while and use the HDMI cable with my laptop. Not ideal. Buy something else and spend a little bit more. I should have.
