Amazing compact GMRS radio!
There are a lot of choices for GMRS radios. Many of them are okay, and only a few are great. I always look for a radio that has clear audio, an easy to view display, and easy to program on the fly. This radio has all of that. Here are the things I like about this radio.- Compact (approximately 3.5x1.75x1.5 inches)- Easy to read color screen- Clear audio both transmit and receive- Dual band, dual watch, and dual PTT- GMRS repeater capable (I connected to my GMRS repeater several miles away using a different antenna)- Can pickup air bands (must enable, and need a different antenna for clearer reception)- FM radio- NOAA frequencies- Quickly pair one channel by holding down the 1 key, hit STOR, and key up PTT on the other radio (currently this cannot be stored but it provides info on the frequency and the TONE or DCS to save manually)- Easy to program with CPS, CHIRP and Odmaster- Can program on the fly using Odmaster and Bluetooth on radio- 2500mAh battery with USB C charging (port on the battery)- USB C programming for CPS and CHIRP (port on the radio by the Speaker/Mic ports)- It has a flashlight at the top that is either a steady light or flashing- Includes radio, antenna, belt clip, tether, USB A to USB C cable, and USB power adapter, and manualSome things I noticed on the radio which may stump you. You need to use the USB A to USB C cable to charge the battery and not a USB C to USB C cable. You do need the CPS to set the FM radio reception at this time (CHIRP and Odmaster doesn’t work). Air band needs to be enabled on the radio or CPS (CHIRP and Odmaster doesn’t support this).Other than the minor quirks, it is an amazing compact radio. It does everything I need, and at this price, I can keep it in the car for emergencies or for a quick chat. Pick one up if you want a low-priced radio with great features.

perfect for beginner or seasoned radio enthusiasts
Great radio for the price by far. Just add all the frequencies you want to monitor or interact with. 200 channels 0-199 easy to use, but hard figure out phone app to program the radio. Also uses standard programing cables for this kind of handheld. Great for duplicating your scanner Channels, GMRS and HAM channels to listen or interactive with

Great Alternative to a 5R
Product set up great on CHIRP, build quality was very good, solid in the hand. Very impressed. Have not tried it out in the field yet.

Replacing my UV-5Rs
I ran this radio side by side against my 4 UV-5R and UV-5R8 radios and it out performed them in almost every way. The audio is superior, and most importantly, the recieve quality was much much better in weak signal fringe areas that the baofengs struggled with. Also, i tested against my new UV5-G plus model, and they were very compatible in performance, but the H3 is more featured rich, and I prefer the H3s form factor. The H3 also puts out 5.3-5.5 watts on high power, the uv-5r is generally around 4 or less. The extra wattage helps when connected to my BTECH amplifier to get maximum output of 40 watts.I've been using Baofeng for 7 years partly because I liked the standardization of my comms, and the interchangeable accessories in the Baofeng ecosystem. But I can't ignore progress here. And as a plus, all of my Baofeng antennas, and othe accessories will work except the batteries. But the extra batteries are no longer as important because of the USB charging capability.

Works Like It Should
This is a tiny little radio but feels good in the hand and solid. Sounds like a full sized HT and has a usable air band receive. My only complaint with it is the antenna is awful on 2 meters but very resonate on 70 cm. But on the other hand, most HTs sold have pretty poor antennas that come with them. Add on an aftermarket quality antenna on it and you have a very usable radio.UPDATE: After buying this radio I purchased a TinySA and used it to test all my radios. The H3 had a first harmonic spur just above the "legal" limit set by the FCC. After seeing that I boxed it up and returned it. They were so close, but not quite good enough. If you were only going to use it as a GMRS radio on UHF it would be fine, but as an Amateur radio on 2 meters, not so much.

Almost..
Features are nice..display is nice..LOVE the program with type C cable.. the radio seems solid in the hand..HOWEVER and this is the biggest downfall.. to the point that I am almost considering returning it.. it's suppose to be a gmrs and yet on the gmrs bands it's only putting out 3.7 watts.. 5 watts is low enough and yet this radio is 3.7 watts.. plus with 3-4 spurious emissions you're not even getting 3.7 watts to the right frequency..better than a boafeng mainly because of the display but besides that they are one in the same and just as disappointingUpdateAfter speaking with tidradio and talking with their customer service department..I feel what the radio may lack on output wattage it makes up for in features and customer service.. and tidradio truly does stand behind their product.

PLAGUED WITH PROBLEMS, but they made it right!
First the battery overheats and then I can't access the fm radio that does not work when I push the correct buttons. Waste of money. They made it right at the end. Great customer support!

This is my 2nd TD-H3 radio
Well the first one was so nice I just had to pick up another for more options to keep in contact with others when were out. It comes set to use on GMSR but you can unlock it to use on HAM as well if you want. To unlock it just look to youtube, Very easy to do.
