The product works perfectly as promoted. The exfoliating glove and back extension were great and extremely useful, especially the glove. getting the item on discount for £50 also contributed to this review. As a very hairy man, this razor did a great job at first trimming my long body hair and then later shaving it entirely. Though this did take several hours in the shower, but the skin shaving feature is much easier and more reliable than its trimming feature which felt a bit weak and unpredictable in effectiveness. While a good venus hand razor got the shaving job done in just over an hour in the bath, but that wouldnt have been possible without the Phillips razor first trimming it down.

It is what you expect, it does a really good job for the whole body. Good size, good shave, you have to insist a bit more on your back, but very good comparing with others, and it s a brand product relatively cheap!

I had the previous model to this for several years before the battery died. This updated version is comfortable to hold and the included extension arm is the same as the one that came with the previous model. The extension arm is very handy for those hard to reach places and holds the trimmer securely. I've only given 4 stars because I feel that the trimmer should come with a bag at this price point.

As a hairy dude (I mean really hairy) this has changed everything for me, I am much more comfortable getting changed in front of my partner and even shared a hot tub with her recently (Yanited).It is an absolute work out though reaching the hard-to-reach areas, but I suppose you’re training your muscles too. If you’re a hairy man, and it’s doing your head in, get this, it WILL remove all your hair and you’ll feel mint.

I need to do some manscaping on my nether regions and read lots of reviews.. I didn't trust the normal clipper style as I have used them before and had nicks. I decided on the Philips Bodygroom Series 5000 because of the closed foil design. First I trimmed my 'top garden' with one of the guards just to get used to the machine and was really impressed. Next I searched for my 'plums' amoungst the foliage and used the 2mm guard. It made short work of the undergrowth and I soon found them. next I tentatively used with no guard and must admit I was worried about nicking them. Within 5 minutes my bountiful pink 'plums' were a thing of wonder and splendour. Smooth and succulent ready to be plucked in all there glory.. they truly were a beautiful sight to behold. My Manhood smooth and clean gleaming in the sun shone on through the bathroom window.. it looked like a mighty beast once more, ready to pounce into action at a moments notice. I showed my Wife who nearly chocked on her beans on toast when she saw this marvelous sight. It's been a while, I sighed at her, but now they are back to their former glory thanks to the Philips Bodygroom Series 5000.

This is a really good item, if you're looking to maintain a small bit of stubble or a clean shaven look, however, if you've got a thick beard there seems to be a high chance of it snagging hairs and generally just struggling to get through.

First, let's get the negative out of the way. The instructions. They are just a series of images with a tick to indicate 'yes, do it this way' or an X to indicate 'no, that's wrong'The problem is some of the images look identical and have both a tick and a cross. Had they taken the time to include some text with each image it might have been easier to work out, so for that reason, I'm giving a 4 and not a 5, I found this method a little confusing.Ok, now the positives. I'm in my 50's, so body scaping is not something that has always been part of my trimming routine. I used to play sports and did trim in areas that may have been on public display in the showers etc because no one wants to look overgrown in the body hair department.A while back i started to use an electric trimmer, which was probably meant to be used on sideburns or a moustache as it was a facial trimmer rather than one designed for the body, it was more efficient than scissors but I didn't go too short.This trimmer works like a dream, it has different length comb/guards so you can decide what length to leave hair. Bear in mind, it's for use from the neck down. Some may want to 'bodyscape' while others may want the smooth look. This trimmer will let you do both. For instance I didn't realise how much hair I had on my back, or how much fuzz there was till I went to the hospital to have a mole removed, the nurses had to shave the area around the mole and I was shocked at the amount of hair that was on the razor, hence my reason for buying this trimmer. It comes with an easy to use attachment that lets you use it on your back, and it works great, letting you reach the whole of your back. I started trimming with the small comb protector on then went down to the actual razor foil and my back looks like it did when I was a teenager, hair free and smooth again!It was the first time I charged the unit and it came with a charge already on it so only took a few minutes to get it fully ready, it still had loads of power when I was done so I'll re-edit this in a few weeks to see how long it takes after a few uses to get back to fully loaded.All in all a great product, I feel so much cleaner now that I've used the trimmer in other areas as well.
