We purchased the handle as easier to lean onto if we have to. We have only used the SmartStick in the house thus far. The solar charging on the windowsill and LED lights are convenient. We never thought to test the zapper.After a few months the lights stopped working, even at full charge. We called customer service, and they walked us through steps to see where the problem was.Nothing worked until he asked us to test the zapper. HOLY MOLEY! That electrical charge arcing between the two prongs and its cracking sound is some Herculean Power! This is not a toy. Keep far away from children.Unfortunately, the lights did not work. Customer service sent a replacement SmartStick that works great. 5 STAR customer service!

Update: customer service took care of the issue promptly and I am one happy customer.Originally we gave this five stars, but in less than 2 months it stopped working it doesn't take charge, and the stun gun at the bottom is intermittent if you hold down the button it pops for about 3 seconds and then stops and then you have to press the button again. We thought it was a fire hazard so we discarded it at the fire department.

Very sturdy walking stick. The light is very bright. The taser seems strong enough to keep an animal or person at bay. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive the USB Fan, snow shoe, or USB Cord. I contacted the owner and he stated he will ship out the missing items ASAP. Very friendly person. Great communication. All in all it is a good walking stick.Update 5/5/25. I received the missing components through mail today. Still a great walking stick. Will see if the charger works.

I’m honestly impressed with how much functionality is packed into this one stick..The stun gun feature was one of the main reasons I bought it. As an older individual, I do a lot of walking. I encounter coyotes and aggressive animals often. Having that extra layer of protection makes me feel a lot safer. It’s easy to use, and just knowing it’s there gives me peace of mind.The tripod feature is super handy for setting up the stick so it can stand on its own. I’ve used it as a stationary light near my campsite and inside the tent during night time. It’s perfect for hands-free lighting. Great for campingThe LED lights are surprisingly bright. I’ve used them during night hikes and around the campsite, and they do a great job lighting up the area. The emergency light mode is a nice touch too.The stick itself feels solid and supportive on rough terrain. After 4 months my stick broke just under the LED at one of joint areas that screws together. Ive reached out to customer service with 2 emails. I've also tried to call their customer service number which gives no identifying information that you are even calling the company. There are some great elements, the LED is bright, the battery holds charge, very disappointing for how much this costs.

I bought my my Smartstick almost 6 months ago recently stopped charging. I figured it needed ne batteries. I called just looking for info on how to change the battery. They are sending me a new one. The warranty has expired. This was about a hour ago. I just got a email with tracking number. Stellar customer service. I was not expecting that. I recommend with 5 stars service.

I admit to being a gadget-y kind of person so instead of ignoring the Amazon recommendations like usual, I clicked in on this one and bought it. The first one i got was loose in all the places it screws in and got wobbly, so I contacted support and they were quick to send another. The second one has taken quite a beating rom my walks and is performing really well. I really like all the functions it has, the light, the recharge for my phone, the zapper. I almost used the zapper when an unleashed dog came up to my dog, but it turned out ok. Glad to have had it if it was needed. I am one of the elders who likes to hike as mentioned in the advertisement and I got the top piece that turns it more into a cane. It allows me to walk in cities while preserving it's function as a hiking staff in the country. As I said, great product with great support!
