Q: If i place this in front of my standing tv, will it block the ir sensor for the tv remote?

I just pulled the sound bar forward a bit and IR usually works fine with the smallest of viewable range.This is a superb product. I don't tend to have it on all the time...movies and certain tv programmes are so much better with it on.

Q: What kind of power conection does it use. And what are the batteries for?

The sound bar is powered by a standard cable with a 13amp plug and the batteries are for the remote control. The base woofer is also powered by a standard cable with a 13amp socket.

Q: Will it connect to a Sky Q box?

It connects to your TV, and plays the sound that would come out of your TV speaker
