Exactly what I thought

I played with it for a day and a half. It's a VERY fun concept, but even following all instructions it broke beyond repair after a day and a half, less than 3 full hours of play.It simply stopped retracting. It was charged, I opened and checked it like recommended, rewound it, all suggestions with the power buttons and all, it just isn't a quality build.It's meant to be short play, "that was fun", and you're done. Oh well, arguably $11 well spent...I guess.

The media could not be loaded. I am very impressed with this spider web slinger. I honestly did not expect it to work this well or be this fun. The wrist band fits my wrist comfortably and securely. It is held in place nicely and allows easy operation of the switch with my middle fingers.The dart "web" that is fired is very powerful, it shoots about 10ft (full length of the rope) and the suction cup will usually suction to a smooth surface. Shooting without the suction cup attached is good for target practice and will either knock a full water bottle off a table or attach to a metal/magnetic surface. ***WARNING - the projectile is heavy and if it's shot without the suction cup it can break what it hits. We've put some solid dents in soda cans and cereal boxes. I'm sure it will dent a refrigerator/freezer pane... so be careful***The retracting action is pretty impressive. It will pull back small items by the power of the motor. Or it will pull back the projectile by itself very quickly. Don't panic when you press the retract button and nothing happens, it's likely your rope is tangled. When the rope does get tangled it is VERY easy to snap off the cover and untangle the rope.The battery charges quickly and lasts a LONG time. It feels like I've retracted it about 200 times in the last few days and it is still going strong. I'm very impressed with the battery and retracting mechanism and motor power.The suction cup and magnetic release mechanism work great. This is a nice safety feature, as I'm sure without it I would have tried to swing from it already.I am VERY happy with this spider web slinger.

I would not recommend for younger kiddos, partially because the toy contains magnets, but even for kids who don't put toys in their mouths because it needs adult assistance to untangle the cord often. When pulling the string back in, it can easily get tangled inside the toy and requires parents to remove the back and untangle before it works again. My son loves the toy, but did get frustrated with needing to untangle the string multiple times while playing. Other than that, he really likes the concept of being able to pull the 'web' back in, like spiderman does.

They did not skip out on the motor of this thing and whatever mechanism it uses to launch.This thing is a beast! Like it shoots it's entire length easily, probably could go further if it had the string for it tbh. It pulls itself in very quickly as well. Like, maybe 2 seconds of wind time.The top bit also pops off just enough so you can fix any tangles in your string which is nice.Overall I would say this is a 4.8/5.Something to note is that you have to press the suction cup thing into the device to prime it.Not an issue and makes sense entirely. I was just confused for the first few minutes thinking it was broken.------------------------------------------------------------I do have a few very minor criticisms.The strap, while overall very high quality, is too thick? Bulky? I have very small wrists and the bulkiness of the bands allows it to slide up and down my arm, which can make it difficult to use.I think something that plays into it is the amount of Velcro on the outer band. Not enough to get a good secure fit imo.Another thing that could be improved is the location of the button to recall the string. It's on the back of the device so you have to use your other hand. Should've made the motor trigger when you press the other direction of the web trigger. Could have even put it just behind the suction cup and that would've been somewhat reachable with one hand.Also the glove. It like, has fingers that are just long enough for like, a 5 year old, but has the width of a full grown adult so I don't know what that's about or who would even be able to use it.-------------------------------------------------------------I would say it's def worth the purchase though. I'm gonna have tons of fun using it as a fidget toy.

I have had to return this item 2x now. First time was because it was assembled wrong. The magnets were placed backwards so my son was not able to use the suction cup. Second time, it worked great, but only for a day. On the second day, it stopped taking a charge. When it worked, it was pretty amazing and my son loved it. Now, he is very disappointed as he was looking forward to this toy for a long time. I promised him I would get it for him if he did well in school, and he held his end of the bargain. I am very disappointed in this product. I am not even going to ask for 3rd one to be shipped to me, now I just want a refund. I will shop for other similar items that are hopefully better built than this one.
