Excellent when used with the right products for the intended purpose
Before you purchase this/these molds, please pay attention to their intended use: they aren't meant for baking (I contacted the manufacturer to confirm they ARE NOT oven safe) and not meant for fondant, though the more wide open molds would work for that.Their intended use is to mold Martha Stewart's own air dry clay. Now having said that I have successfully used them for the following mediums:Plaster of Parispaper "mache" made from shredded toilet paper (I laughed at first, too)Crayola air dry clayand Martha's own air dry clayI have had no problems whatsoever with removing the items from the mold. The molds are very flexible, so it's easy to remove the product without damaging the impressions. The plaster of Paris I allowed to set up until firm before unmolding; all other mediums were removed almost immediately and then allowed to air dry.I haven't yet tried resin, but that's on my list to try. I will also use polymer clay soon. I'll mold it, remove it from the mold, then bake it for the required time.If you are using it for it's intended purpose, with the intended product (or very closely similar) you should have no problems with this at all.The designs are beautiful, detailed, and very useful for all sorts of crafts. I'm very, very pleased with these.

I use these molds for gum paste/fondant
which isn't what they are meant for. They are meant to be used with another product and, I'm sure that they are perfect for that since they are well built and well detailed. However, I find that, for cake decorations, they are a bit too deep producing leaves and butterflies that are unrealistically thick. I try to put less gum paste into each mold and am managing to get acceptable specimens but using this short cut doesn't work as well as rolling out really thin gum paste and cutting them with cutters. I had real hopes for the butterflies, since I needed a lot of them and didn't want to have to detail that many of them. I thought that I could make a lot of large ones and some small ones.Which brings me to another thing you need to be aware of: each mold is no larger than 2 1/4" in diameter. The measurements that are given are the package measurements (0.6 x 5.3 x 8.2 inches). This means that the large butterfly, which I had been expecting to be about three inches wide, is actually 1 3/4" at the widest point and the largest leaf is 1" long. I could still use them as my smaller butterflies, but the smaller one on the mold are just too small. So, between the fact that I am giving it a different use than the one intended, that they are deeper than I'd like for realism's sake and that they are a lot smaller than I need, I'm not exactly overwhelmed with pleasure. I bought two sets (Flower Garden and Sweet Shop) and I don't think I will get too much mileage out of either one.

Cute letter mold, great for cakes!
I love this mold! The letters are the perfect size for decorating cakes, cupcakes, ect. Not too big, not too small. They fit great inside name plaques for cakes. I also love the flowery/leaf details on the letters, great for girly cakes. The mold was also very easy to use... it was easy to add fondant in the mold & easy to get them back out without messing up the shape. I take a tiny ball of fondant, push it into the mold & use my small rolling pin to make sure it's flush with the mold then I bend the mold & take a needle to help pull the letter out. You can use regular fondant or gum paste, both work great. The letters are pretty thick too which I like, kind of gives a 3D effect. I attached a photo of an 8" round cake I made, using this mold to do the name "Jordyn", to give you an idea of the size.

Elegant Letters Mold.
This is great quality and great price. It's really not hard to use like other reviews have stated. The size of the letters are approximately 1/2" both width and height. I used the mold with and without cornstarch and had no problems removing the fondant. The fondant does come out easier if you put the mold in the freezer with the fondant for approximately 5 minutes. This method however makes the job a lot longer especially if you need large amounts of the same letter(s) like I did for a baby shower. When you purchase it find out which method works best for you and I know you will like the mold. The font and the design are elegant.

My daughter is having fun with these!
Pro's: These are a nice quality mold. My daughter uses them for sculpey (polymer) clay. They're easy to use and she uses them often.Con's: We had visions of being able to make 2 sides of the cupcake and put them together to make a full mini-cupcake model. But the mold shape is not truely half of a cupcake, but more like a 1/4 or 1/3 cake. So when you put two pieces together, it doesn't really look like a "real" cupcake, but more like a smooshed or flatened design. I think these molds were meant more for making edible molds that would lay nicely flat on a cake-top, or even non-edible molds that would work nicely as flat-laying scrapbooking details and designs. That's OK, she's still enjoying the molds!

Pretty but small
The letters are pretty small but the design on each letter is very pretty. I bought another mold here on Amazon by MUOTO that I like better. The letters are bigger. The font looks like a varsity type font or college type font. Both of these have around the same thickness of letter and I find it easier to spray with Pam and then put in the freezer for a bit. Fondant and chocolate pop right out of both.

Perfect for fondant and gum paste
I use these for making fondant and gum paste letters for cakes. They are a perfect size, and the silicone makes them fairly non stick. I do still use a little bit of cornstarch on the inside, and I usually chill in the freezer for 5 minutes before popping them out. Once they come out, they are beautiful. I let mine dry a little longer before placing them on the cake so they hold their shape better and the beautiful design doesn't get squished out.

Nice, but have a little patience
I really like this mold. However, I use this with fondant. I do have a few issues when using my rolling pin to even out the fondant and the letters are coming up as the rolling pin goes over it. Also when I'm trying to get the fondant out... But, with patience, I get beautiful letters.

Good quality molds
These Martha Stewart molds are so detailed and the ease of releasing the clay is a doddle. You get very professional looking pieces when you use them with the Martha Stewart clay. The picture frame I used white then coloured it and added gilding wax, it looked so good. Recommended for their brilliant results, value for money and ease of use.
