I don’t usually leave reviews, but Coat Defense Daily Preventative Powder has genuinely earned it. My dog was struggling with chronic red paws, persistent itching, and signs of yeast irritation, especially around the feet and folds. I recently started using Coat Defense Daily Preventative Powder for my dog’s itchy skin, and it has made a noticeable difference. It’s incredibly easy to apply — the powder shakes out a little clumpy but I then use a large makeup brush to spread it around and it covers problem areas without creating a mess. I really appreciate that it has a light, clean scent that is not overpowering, which my dog doesn’t seem to mind at all. Most importantly, it’s been very effective. Within a few days, my dog’s constant scratching had decreased significantly, and the irritated spots started to clear up. I also like that it can be used preventatively, not just when issues flare up. Highly recommend for dogs with sensitive or itchy skin!

COAT DEFENSE Preventative Powder is perfect for bulldogs—it helps control yeast, keeps wrinkles dry, and soothes itchy faces. My dog’s coat feels fresh without a bath. I would recommend buying the new improved top, as this version can be messy.

I use this in my dog's ears every other day (for more than six months now), and if I didn't, she would get constant infections like she used to. It keeps everything dry and clean in there! Very easy to apply with a make up brush. I do decant it into another pot so it's easier to get to the powder.

I didn't notice any improvement in my dog's constant licking of his feet with using this product. As one reviewer did, I used a make up brush to apply the powder to his itchy spots like his feet and belly. It did not cause any additional irritation but it didn't seem to do much for his itchiness. This might be better for dogs with floppy ears to keep them dry and itch free. There was no scent and it was easy to apply using the make up brush. I'm giving this one a neutral rating as it may just not be the ideal product for my particular dog's issues but may work great for another's.

My Newfoundland had developed yeasty, red, hairless paws from constant licking of her paws. I had tried many home remedies, gut supplements, Omega 3 supplements, vet strength astringents, etc. and saw no signs of relief, stoppage, or improvement. I saw the Coat Defense on FB & w its simple ingredients I thought would give it a try. I’m now on the 2nd bottle. I apply the powder using a medium, clean makeup brush so I can get the powder into her toe crevices, folds and the pads. I’ve done this one time per day now faithfully for a little over 6 weeks. She now has no redness, the hair is growing back in the bare areas on her feet, and she now only grooms her feet vs licking them excessively. I plan to move to a maintenance schedule of every other day to ensure no relapse of the problem. I have fought this problem w her feet for 3+ years and it is ONLY this simple and affordable powder that has worked to heal her feet. I have advised my vet of this but doubt they will recommend it to others. I for sure will and do recommend it to others! That’s why I wrote this long review - to share our experience. Try this powder if ur dog is experiencing these same problems described. It takes dedication and consistency so the owner has to be willing to put in the time to apply the powder. I did it after her morning meal so it is part of that routine now.

This is great for our Frenchie the only thing is that it does get everywhere as we apply it. We have found that using an eyeshadow brush to apply it seems to be the best most effective way. It has a very mild pleasant smell. It does keep his folds dry and less irritated. It will last a very long time it doesn't take a lot and using the brush you don't waste as much.
