Yup these are a great buy
They are metal with a rubber jacket. Very stiff and probably overkill for an orchid, but I could see using these to bonsai plants. They are long and a good size and he would need some metal cutters if you need smaller. They work great and very easy to use. I recommend the quality.

Sticks for orchid plant
