Awesome Cooler & Superior Customer Service!!
I purchased my cooler in April 2024. Performance has been GREAT, keeps everything cold and/or frozen as expected and noise level is minimal. I had some issues in September definitely past the return window. Reached out directly to Alpicool customer service. They promptly responded within a few hours to suggest a few troubleshooting steps. After exchanging a few emails it was determined that I would need a replacement. Without hesitation Alan from Alpicool shipped me a new cooler and also sent me the updated version without any additional cost. Within 2 days I had a new replacement cooler delivered. Alpicool is rock solid IMHO.Why can't all Amazon sellers be like Alpicool. Responsive, Attentive and Reassuring that they stand behind their products. Thanks Alan and Alpicool!!

Left compartment temp controls the right side
Im new at camping, and just received the Alpicool, 52 qt, portable fridge, two days ago and I already love this refrigerator! This is my honest experience for just having it one weekend, lol. First the positives:- Noise level? There is no noise. It doesn't make a sound.- Ice retention? Wonderful. I put a cup of ice in it last night and it was intact this morning!- Portability? Excellent so far. Has a telescope type handle that's adjustable on the left side, as well as a handle on the other side. It has wheels that look about 8"x2.5" thick, very sturdy, and roll easily - no stiffness or flimsiness. Now for my personal challenge with it after skimming through the user manual several times:- the left compartment is larger in width and depth than the right. Thats because the compressor is below the right compartment. The digital control buttons only work directly with the left compartment. Therefore, whatever temp value you enter for the left compartment affects the temp of the right compartment. So although this is "Dual Zone", there does not seem to be independent temp settings for each side. The manual is vague with this information. Bottom line, the left side temp can go down as low as -20F, but the right side will not drop below 32F. And as you raise/lower the temp to the left compartment, the right side goes up and down as well. But Im not sure what the adjustment of the percentage is from Left to Right compartment. Right now my left is 35F and my right is 40. But as I adjust up and down, it is not always only 5 degrees of difference. Also, standard milk, juice, and egg cartons dont fit on the right side - so choose your temps wisely and position your foods so they are not over or under chilled.- the E1-E5 settings are not thoroughly discussed in the manual. Of course this has everything to do with temp controls in the refrigerator but the manual only mentions how to get to them. It does not go into what the purpose, or functions, of these settings are. So Im a bit lost with that as well and will investigate further.- Because of the difference in size and height of each compartment, I couldn't make my mind up on which side to use for the freezer vs fridge. At the end of the day, engineering is obviously not my forte and I am just ecstatic that this fridge arrived intact, with all operable cords and functionality. It is simple enough and I would 100% definitely recommend this for any type of camping or supplemental food storage needs!

Doesn't cool the smaller compartment well.
We liked the build quality, but this is a poor design. The smaller compartment cools based on the temp of the larger compartment. You basically have to use the larger compartment as a freezer in order for the smaller compartment to be useful at true refrigerator temps. It's just too limiting and not handy. We're exchanging it for a dual temperature controlled unit from the same brand.

Quiet and durable.
This item exceeded my expectations. It cooled down nicely and is quiet. I expected it to be able to have dual controls, but it doesn’t. Basically you can only control one side, the other side is much warmer. I returned the item and will purchase one with dual controls. Otherwise the wheels are great and build quality is fine.
