I wasn't sure I believed there was a difference in flavor between white and black peppercorns but there is. It's subtle but there. I bought these to grind down and use in hot mustard. I sift out the fine particles to use in the mustard and keep the coarse pieces when cooking meat or fish. I love options, and this gives me exactly that!

I first started using white pepper over a decade ago. The flavor is very unique and different compared to black peppercorn. I really enjoy it and it can really enhance a dish. I can tell the difference between the powder and freshly ground peppercorn. I haven't used it in the past for steak because all my powder was finely ground. Now I can do coarse grinds and add it to steak, etc.You get a lot and it will last a LONG time.

I think these are good quality peppercorns as they look and smell nice and peppery. They are whole and intact and so they seem to have retained their fresh flavor and aroma quite well. The only issue for me was that the seal was already broken upon opening. It seems like it got stuck in the cap and came off with it, so I don't think they were actually tampered with. They're going into my grinder anyways, so I'm still going to trust that they're okay and it was just due to the aforementioned glitch with the lid, but I still subtracted one star for it. In summary, I will say that the quality of the corns themselves make them still worth my recommendation, thank you.

It is a different flavor,but it does have a spicy kick , nice flavor variation, it is fresh and good quality.

Having a variety of peppercorns is the 'spice of life' in my kitchen. And after having different kinds of peppercorns I've come to be able to detect the subtle and not so subtle differences between them. These white peppercorns, in my opinion, were a little hotter then the usual black or even the multi-colored peppercorns I have.The white peppercorns are nice to add to light colored dishes, like potato salad, cream soups and coleslaw if you want it to blend in.These white peppercorns are a wonderful peppercorn addition to have in any kitchen and are fresh and tasty and is a nice addition to my peppercorn collection.

This white peppercorn is a terrific replacement or accent to standard black pepper in your kitchen. It is a bit stronger than what I normally get, but the difference is for the better. I am really enjoying it in my pepper grinder and applying it to my dishes. I have tried it in several things now, and I may not go back. There is plenty in this container, and it should last quite a while depending on your needs.
