Absolutely awesome for the money. The look of these are really good, very sharp looking. They are unexpectedly heavy when holding them but feel great through the swing. Shafts are fine, don’t seem to be any issues when I hit them today, but the grips are awesome. Mine came in standard which I might change to midsize down the road but no need really with the quality grips they came with. Very easy and smooth around the chipping green, and absolutely feels flawless on regular swings, even for a mid-high handicapper like myself. Very impressed. Great job Yamato

If you just need a nice looking wedge that spins the ball like crazy, this is a great wedge. If you need a club for tournaments and stuff, this club might not be legal for that. If you care about your golf balls staying pretty and scuff free. This is definitely not for you. For me personally, I play for fun and tend to use cheaper balls or stuff I find out on the course so I’m not too bothered by balls getting shredded after a round. If you’re the pro v1 type tho, unless you can really afford it, I’d reconsider.

I've finally had time to play with this club on various courses. I purchased the 54 degree wedge and boy I'm so glad I did. Prior to buying this, I did a lot of research with a lot of brand testing. Was I nervous about the purchase, sure who wouldn't be. Is it different than most wedges...absolutely! Other reviews that I have read said that the base of the club is heavier than normal and I found this to be very accurate. To be fair I really had to practice using this club but once you dial it in you won't put it down because how accurate and precise your shots will be. I don't think giving you my handicap would really make a difference because a golf shot is a golf shot. I did cut the shaft down about an inch with a new pride grip. Thats just my preference to have all my irons the same length something that DeChambeau started and man it made a world of difference. Going back to the Yamato club, it drops on a freakin dime. The unique milled club face is so brilliantly engineered you don't have to be someone special to get a perfect pop off the face. The club does all the work, which I find absolutely incredible. I thought about spinning $150 just for one club but thank God I didn't go that route. This needs to be in your bag if you're a serious rec-golfer. Once you pick it up, swing it...you're going to say "why the heck did I buy this thing". Stay with the club and practice with it. Once you finally understand why Yamato went into the golf business and you get how to hit this club every time a shot comes up...you're actually going to be excited to pull the club out because you know you're going to nail it. From a golfer who is always looking to improve their game I'm telling you this is the club, have fun Boyz. And ladies!

In my mid 20’s to mid 30’s I was a fairly solid 12-13 handicap. Now at age 48 and not playing regularly, I struggle to break 100. I’ve owned nearly every manufacturer’s wedges in the past with Ping’s Tour-W being my absolute favorite.These are fantastic for the money. I don’t believe they are legal, but who cares. There’s not a great sweet spot on the face that I have found either. They feel a tad bit clunky no matter how much you pure it.However, the 52°, 56°, 60° set has given me back the ability to absolutely go after a wedge shot with incredible spin sideways and backwards.They will tear up a ProV1 over 9 holes though.
