"What's The Greatest Thing Since Sliced Bread?"
The "greatest thing since sliced bread" is this bread slicer! We've been baking sourdough for 5 years. We are now pre-slicing it and freeze it so we can have perfectly even slices of sourdough toast.

Works perfectly
I have no idea how long it will last, but this little slicer has sliced over 50 loaves and it works GREAT.

Great value for money
Comments after using it for two years! Very useful product. Stainless steel is rust-proof. The thickness can be adjusted by yourself. We use it every month and save a lot of money on hot pot

cuts well. solidly built.
Bought this as a large Covid 19 quarantine impulse purchase. It definitely works. I was given a number of large really large chunks of smoked meat, brisket, pastrami, ham, corned beef, which I had to freeze. Then I didn't know what to do with it.So with this I take out a piece and and let it sit on the counter for 45-60 minutes and it's still frozen but it can be cut if I rotate it so I'm always going through the most narrow section of the meat. It works well.It came with one blade, will update this if it gets dull, but no sign of that so far.Solidly build but actually smaller and lighter than I thought it would be.It is essentially a power tool so be careful, be aware, maybe even use cut proof gloves, I don't, but big cold pieces of meat could be slippery if you're not paying attention, and don't let kids play with it.One thing is I'm having trouble making super thin slices of stuff. For most stuff it's fine but maybe one day I'm have prosciutto or something and I don't know how well it would do.Good purchase. I like.

Slicer motor dead I less than 90 days
The media could not be loaded. Slicer also is like weight, slides all over when using and is flimsy like a cheap plastic toy. Easy to clean but dangerous to use. No phone numbers or emails to contact seller. Number on paperwork is no longer valid. You have to contact the owner of chef mate which is called the Legacy cCmpany. Google it as amzn denied my last review I feel because I gave their number, beginning with 954 area code. In dealing with them they may allow me to get another product since I bought from amzn, but my intuition is I’m going to be out $91 for a very poorly constructed slicer. I’ll come back with a resolution when I hear back from the sellerAmzn people: you can reach chef mate AT ALL it’s not a responsible vendor, don’t block this review again please!1/10/23 UPDATE from Seller:Hi Julie,Yes, that is correct. Incredible slicer!
Amazing slicer at an incredible price! I had a previous version of this slicer and it held up under regular use for 15 years (mostly I make jerky and thin-sliced meats for Asian style dishes). So I bought this one as a replacement and it does not disappoint! Easy to use and cleans up nice. Will definitely buy again when this one goes out in another 15+ years!

Works very well
I almost didn't purchase this product due to the negative reviews that I read... but so far so good. I purchased this for the primary purpose of slicing homemade bread. After unboxing, setup and a bit of cleaning, I tried the slicer on a loaf that I baked yesterday. It worked very well.... no issues. The item is mostly made of plastic... but it still feels solid and well-constructed. The blade spins more slowly than I would have thought, but it is very sharp and cuts through thick bread crust easily. I look forward to trying this on other foods, like roast beef or ham. I think this is a very good value for the under $100 price.

Nice, great quality.
Well built, well constructed slicer. We sliced bread, sausages, ham, salami, cheese, cucumber, other veggies (we just tried, bought for sandwich materials, not veggies).Bot too big and heavy, but has metal pieces, not just plastic. The blade is not thelat easy to clean, but it is ok.We are happy with it.Hopefully I can get replacement blade when it will be needed.
