Clear audio clarity and mic, comfort at its peak.
This headset is really comfy for those long gaming sessions it's a must. I love this headset the audio quality is amazing and the mic clarity is top notch. Well worth the money I'm actually really surprised. I might do a video review and post affiliate link to amazon for purchase. 10/10 the cable could be braided the only negative.

Value for money
Incredible performance for the price. I own a £240 Corsair Wireless XT headset for FPS gaming, and while this headset doesn’t compete in the same league for spatial audio quality with Dolby Atmos, it still delivers impressive sound when using Windows Sonic Headphones. It may not have as many high frequencies or details, but for just £44, it’s a great buy. I also appreciate the quality and simplicity of the design.

BlackShark V2 Pro Console Edition review (2024)
I wanted to like this headset so much. I've anticipated a console version for Xbox for a while. Starting with the positives. Best in class mic. If the microphone is a priority for you, there isn't a better mic on a gaming headset. Great battery life (48hrs on console). Extremely lightweight and comfortable, aside from the ear cushions material being a bit scratchy and shallow. Set-up is super easy with plenty of features. On Xbox, there is even a Razer app to download on the console so you can configure the settings. It's the audio which I have issues with. The bass is surprisingly lacking and inconsistent. At times it can go missing altogether. Other occasions, it can be muddy. Overall, there is a lack of clarity. At times the audio can be pleasant, but I've experienced far better audio performance from rival headsets. Pit this against the Audeze Maxwell, Nova Pro Wireless, or Astro A30 wireless. The difference is night and day. Those are more expensive headsets, but even the mid range SteelSeries Nova's are arguably better. The spacial audio is also lacking. The soundstage is quite closed in, so distant sounds don't deliver a great sense of space. One tip if using Dolby Atmos with this headset. In the app on console, select the movie preset, which makes the audio notably louder. On default, the max volume is lacking. This was the only way to give the audio more impact. By comparison, I can't use the movie preset on the Astro A30 wireless because it makes the volume way too loud on its highest volume. It's strange how some manufacturers limit the volume so much, especially when the BlackShark uses 50mm drivers.Overall, there are pros to purchasing this headset. I wouldn't say the audio is necessarily bad. It's just a letdown. It frustrates me these headset manufacturers can't tick all the boxes. The Astro A30 wireless for instance, sound much better than the BlackShark V2 Pro. But are nowhere near as comfortable and have an inferior mic.It comes down to what is your priority? I just can't sacrifice audio, as much as I like other aspects of this headset. But the headset is at a good price right now, so it is worth considering. Just temper expectations for audio performance. This headset is marketed as being for Pro gamers. In that respect, I'm baffled. There are far superior options for competitive play.

Great budget headset
Really blown away with this headset. My old headset fell apart, so I did my research and settled on this one, as it was the best headset within my budget. My old headset was nothing special, so it was no surprise that when I put these on for the first time, the improvement in sound quality was very noticeable. I got Dolby Atmos on my xbox to compliment my new headset, and it sounds brilliant! The headset is unbelievably comfy, and it gets super loud which is great. The quality of some of the plastic and joints on the headset do look slightly vulnerable, so i'm going to be very careful with it, and fingers crossed it holds up, if it doesn't I will certainly be updating this review. Please bare in mind this is only my first impression, and i've literally only used these for one day, but so far so good.

Thumbs up from my teenage son
My teenage son tells me that with this headset he can hear sounds in games that he has never been able to hear before with his previous sets (including others from the same brand). He also never hears when we call him for dinner now, so the noise cancelling function is top tier, if very annoying for us disgruntled parents.

Av bought £50 headsets more reliable than this!
Garbage at a ridiculous price I've only had it for a month and a half and the right sides gone dead only getting sound out the left. And on top of that the sound quality is **** there's a crackling like the signals unstable I tried looking for fixs but all I found was a lot of other people going threw the situation this DO NOT BUY THIS HEADSET!

Issues out of the box.
I had some issues with this head set straight out of the box. Plugging in via the 3.5mm jack and my PC wouldn’t recognise it. I was getting no sound through the head phones and nothing out through the mic. A bit of digging on the internet and it seems to be a common issue. I almost sent them back but tried a few work arounds in the Realtek audio driver settings which did resolve the issue. Problem is, sometimes, when I plug head set in I have to change these settings again. I’m not sure if this is a headset issue or a PC issue but it’s pretty annoying. The headset itself does give out reasonably good sound (after you fiddle to get it working) and is comfortable to wear. I think the connectivity issues would probably stop me buying it again.
