I replaced a different brand with this opener. The original opener only required use of the enter button to close the door, once open. This one requires the code first which is not an issue for us - it's just different.What I do like better is the audible buttons to confirm they've been fully pressed, and brighter keys at that.I read several reviews, a few of which commented "read the instructions" and it works fine. True. It's not just plug and play, but it's universal - of course you have to read the instructions for your model. Mine was a LiftMaster and worked great. The instructions were clearly translated, if of foreign origin. Worked great!

Super easy set up. I also like that the temp code lasts until the master code gets input

Opener didn’t work & I’ll need to send it back. First step of setup was to remove the protective strip from battery but there wasn’t one. Touching buttons wouldn’t light up screen. Replaced battery & same results. Tried the programming procedures but that didn’t work. Went to the hardware store & bought one that was the same. It worked fine.
