Surprisingly good texture!
One might think that a rehydrated biscuit would be mushy. ....One would be wrong! I was pleasantly surprised to find that after 10 minutes soaking in boiled water that the biscuits in this meal were somehow crunchy and flaky (well done Peak Fuel). Also, the Bison was tasty and rich. I had a hard time finishing all of this meal; it was very filling (and most satisfying)!

Excellent flavor
Great flavor and important to have on hand. We are slowly trying all of their products to see which ones we like best.

Not the best, but not bad
I've tried many different brands of freeze dried and quick cook camping meals. The novelty of the bison meat made me grab this one to try.It was pretty standard fare. It kept the hunger away while tasting pretty good. The thing that really go me was the biscuit in this pack. You can feel what appears to be a fist sized stone in the package, which it the freeze dried bread. The instructions say you can leave it whole or break it into smaller pieces. Well, I don't know if I got a difficult one of not, but it was harder than hard tack, and I couldn't break it at all. Leaving it whole doesn't let the thing fully rehydrate, and I was left with a chalky dry biscuit that I mostly ate around.

Perfect for the big dudes, split if you're smaller
Ate this for dinner each night backpacking. I'm a big dude (6'-2" 260) and was carrying a 50lb pack plus water and this was the perfect amount of food!

Decent
It was alright. It gives more food than a typical pouch in my opinion so if you're really hungry this is good. The flavor was decent but it's mainly just rice and mashed potatoes and not a lot of anything else. Not a ton of flavor. Very filling though

Are these accidentally vegan? Practically no meat
Tried two varieties of this brand for a recent Alaska backcountry trip. With the hunter dude in camo on the front and 1.5x the price tag of similar brands I expected much from this. These were all starch and practically no meat. Major let down on all fronts. Left me hungry everyday. False advertising. This meal when cooked per their directions, took twice the time to heat as Mountain House and the flavor was on par with the beef roast my grandma, who is blind, made using McDonald $1 burger patties bc she had a coupon.

I like it.
I thought it was very good. My son also liked it. Very filling and very easy to prepare. The portion size was enough for two people. They are very expensive so will only purchase again if it is on sale.
